Port House Shibuya

It was a little bit too tight for me...

Convenient access to property. Great location for my interests as a music person wanting to stay near FORESTLIMIT venue around the block. Good food options nearby. Easy access to downtown using the Keio Line to Shinjuku Station. Cheap! Did not have bidet, but that's not a big deal.

Thank you for all the supplies and the nice communication. Unfortunately, the cleaning quality was not as good as it was during my previous visit.

A lot of space (for a single). Very conveniently located if you don’t mind being on the west side of town. By a lot of restaurants and the subway without being on the Main Street. I personally like having the sink in the room but that’s only if I’m traveling alone. The lack of staffing is a little bit weird. I almost couldn’t figure out how to get in because the keypad didn’t appear to be a keypad. So waiting to get staff online to help in the rain isn’t great but eventually I figured it out. Also having packaged shampoo/soap is inconvenient.

The location is great! As a solo traveller I felt safe walking home at night and it’s next to the train station and convenience stores too. Place is clean, provides shampoo, body wash, tooth brush, and has a shared kitchen & living room space. It’s self check in and no shoes inside the hotel :) they provide you with in house slippers. WiFi is great and place was never noisy. Only complaint was no bidet haha. Not needed but that’s all I can think of!

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay here. The checking in process was really easy and straightforward, and staff was nice and responsive. The location is great - super close to a train station and surrounded by cafes & restaurants. The room is pretty small but that's to be expected so it was completely ok. Overall good experience!

Great location, and has all the amenities needed to get through a long haul trip. The washroom was so small I could use the toilet, dry myself, or bend over.

Incredible value for a relatively spacious property. The environment is quiet, clean, and convenient. The property is also clean and new.

The location was perfect. Bus stop is ride outside and the station is only a 2 minute walk. Tons of food options nearby as well. Lack of storage space in the room but it’s not a dealbreaker in the slightest.

Great location and very clean. The room could use a chair and a luggage rack No place to sit other than the bed. The bathroom is too small. Loud fan running 24/7

Clean and nice neighborhood

The location was good. The bed was super comfortable. For the price, some things like the small size are understandable and expected. The price is cheap which is what attracted us there. The room is dirty. Dust and grime were piled onto the fans and air filters. The carpet was stained and there were items left under our bed. Changing the towels cost extra which I had never heard of especially because we booked for five nights. They would not allow early check in. The room was tiny. So tiny that we could not fit our suitcases in. The room was also a bit noisy.

Good location (not too busy, felt more residential), good price, good communication from staff Bathroom was a bit small for someone over 6ft tall, but that’s to be expected in a big city like Tokyo. Not a real complaint, but just a heads up to other tall people out there

Very clean and modern feel to it, as if recently renovated. 3-prong electrical outlets were especially appreciated, finally we were able to use the laptop for trip planning and charge the phone battery fast. Walking distance to the subway, and a few nice eateries nearby, such as Matsuya and Turkish Kebab shop. Easy check in with the door codes, elevator to take heavy luggage to 2nd floor. no TV in the room

Good value for downtown Tokyo. Room is very small but comfortable. The location was convenient for me because I needed to be in Hatagaya but don’t be fooled by the name - this is not in Shibuya.

The place was easy to find and the premises were clean. Removing shoes at the entrance was a nice touch. I also enjoyed the 3rd floor common area and kitchen as it was spacious and had quite a few seats to relax or eat at. For a one-person room, the place was surprisingly spacious and provided space to open up a luggage in full. Bath amenities were also provided. Lastly, I appreciated the free luggage storage available on check in and check out days. I just wish the bathroom could be bigger, I honestly would not have minded if some more room area was re-sectioned for the toilet area instead. I could barely stretch my arms out to dry myself or get dressed. The toilet also was not a smart toilet like in most parts of urban Japan. The sink area being on carpeted floor separate from the toilet is a choice. The place is also not very soundproof as I could hear my neighbours getting up early to pack and when they rolled their luggage along the corridor. You can also hear the cars on the large highway occasionally. One last small point was that I arrived at 4pm and my room was not ready, the person was still inside making the bed and he told me kindly to come back in half an hour. Luckily I wasn't in a rush, but I could imagine if someone just came from a long flight and wanted to unwind asap..

The "double bed room" is just one full mattress ? but I suppose that's on me for not reading the description more carefully.

Nothing to complain about!

Great location near subway in an interesting neighborhood, mostly clean, very quiet with windows to aerate room and in room AC. Small basic rooms, good for one person, with very comfortable beds and good pillows. Very helpful responsive owner/manager when two different people left items at the hotel after checkout, 10 stars for that alone! Internet was broken during our stay. Sometimes heard noise with next door construction in the morning, nothing terrible. No bidet in tiny bathroom, and in my room the back of toilet rim had not been cleaned well.. I could see it was caked with urine, which was not fun to discover! Otherwise it was clean in the room.
