Shibuya Tobu Hotel

Location was very good with friendly staff. Comfortable lobby with decent food options. Very small rooms, run down, old and dirty. We had 6 rooms, beds rooms were tight and beds were small. Wouldn’t rate the rooms 3 stars as listed (more like a 2 star). Room carpets were old, dirty and rooms were smelly - several had a strong smoking smell (but branded as a non smoking hotel).

Amazing location right in the heart of Shibuya (~7min walk to Shibuya Station) - everything from the crossing to the shops and restaurants was within easy walking distance. Everything about the stay was smooth, and the staff were kind enough to store our luggage for a few hours after checkout, which made our last day much easier. The rooms were clean, comfortable and good size. Recommended.

What I liked most about the property was its excellent location, which made it easy to explore the area and access public transportation, restaurants, and shopping. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The amenities were great, and the overall atmosphere made our trip even more enjoyable. I would definitely consider staying here again on a future visit. N/A

The hotel is next to shopping mall and shibuya crossing.

Great location in the heart of Shibuya, with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and public transportation. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the check-in/check-out process was smooth. The room carpet could use a deeper cleaning, as it appeared a bit worn and stained. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay.

Location

My sons (22 and 16) and I spent 3 nights at this hotel. It was close enough to Shibuya Station to be convenient and there were a lot of dining options around the hotel. The room was quite large because we ended up in a room for 4 people. The bathroom was clean. Staff was great. We did not use laundry facilities. It was adequate for our stay. The hotel is old and you can smell it, so that was not great. There's that old damp smell. Hotel is closing February for 2027 so I'm pretty sure they're going to upgrade anything. There's no breakfast buffet. The Pronto restaurant has a horrible breakfast, but the She Wolf Diner's breakfast options were great - just need to get there early before they run out of things. The curtains in the room were barely light filtering, so the room began getting light shortly after 4 am at dawn. There is poor sound proofing in the rooms, so you can hear the outside quite well. It was not too bad at night; the street does die down.

The rooms were bit on the smaller side. But that seems normal for Japanese Hotel rooms.

Location. A few min walk to the heart of shibuya. Staff was lovely as well. The rooms were very dated and the beds had a “stickiness” to them even after we showered and got ready for bed. Bathrooms were also very dated.

The location is perfect. We were able to walk to some really great restaurants and stores without feeling overwhelmed. The rooms are very small. The hotel has an older feel to it. No amenities in the rooms like wash clothes and coffee.

Old and tired feel

Perfect location. Close to the train station. Lack of available trash cans even in the hotel.

Great location, great staff, this worked out really well for what I wanted out of my time in Tokyo!

Loved, loved their pillows. I was scared they would be uncomfortable because many complained but for me they were exceptional! Loved the free amenities, good coffee Perhaps the breakfast could be better

The location was unbeatable is very close to everything the rooms are cute and well maintained and clean plus the staff was very helpful The breakfast was not very diverse especially no option for halal food
