℃ (Do-C) Gotanda

The bathroom, capsules, shower lounge were pretty clean. Staff could speak some English. I liked the women's floor door had a lock on it (though sometimes guests wouldn't close it all the way for it to lock properly). There were mang trash cans and the lockers were good to have too. Price was pretty affordable for the Tokyo area. Bed, mattress and pillow felt way too hard and weird parts jutted out inside the capsule so I constantly bumped my body. There were some weird smells in some places of the hotel. Locker area was too narrow to pass when 2-3 guests at a time took a long time re-packing their bags/suitcases there. Toilet stalls were pretty small. Even one curtained changing area in the corner of the capsule area would have been nice.

The sauna room was amazing. Shower room was good, too. The capsule was kind of cold, the bed sheets were not thick enough to keep me warm. I had to use my own down jacket.

The place is very clean, the building is old but the facilities are really good The small private locker that they give u, and the fact that u gotta leave ur stuff at the entrance.

my bad for not reading it, but the sauna is only for men. The mattress not that comfortable

The shower room is clean I saw a hair strand on my pillow and the blanket I felt they didn’t changed the cover.

The capsules are smaller than the usual size in Japan, it would have been nice to have this advertised

facility has a big sauna. the bunk that I stayed didn't have ventilation. in a 'capsule' if you dont have a pillow there might be a solution but no solution if there is no ventilation. I checked other beds for ventilation with a stuff, others didnt have either. another disappointment, was that you have to leave the facility between 11.00 to 15.00 due to cleaning. If you wanna pick up your luggage between those hours you need to ring the bell and then wait for 5 min. for someone to open the door for you. the toilet in the bath area stinks urine so bad. overall this capsule hotel has been the worst capsule hotel İ ever stayed in japan.

There must be also individual showers in this Hostel

Great location, staff are helpful. Quality of stay depends on how others act. Some tourists are very loud unfortunately. Hot or miss. Contactless / card payment only up to ¥10,000

Cheap, clean

The place was tide, more or less. Good local bars if you are ok with local expirience. Brothel guys welcoming just asian looking guys ?‍♂️ Outlet in my capsule did not work, shareing sauna with outsiders and the worst, lockers were small so i had to put my bag on reception

Did not have breakfast because I did not sleep in the wet bed. Still waiting for reimbursement. Female capsule had poor ventilation- fan was filthy. Male capsule had no ventilation- no way to turn fan on. Both were very hot and humid. Capsules were advertized as all having AC- they did not. Male bed was WET. We did not spend the night. Still waiting for reimbursement.

The location, mostly. It's conveniently located just steps away from the subway dtation Gotanda (Yamanote Line). The noise, unruly guests making a racket at 1 am. The staff, who did absolutely nothing after I informed them of guests being loud and noisy. And the fact that the spa is only available for men. This last one makes me never want to book here again. If space is the issue, then they should alternate the spa one day per gender. That way everybody is happy and everybody enjoys the same benefits.

Be careful of location, red light district, not much around.

Bed was good Large luggage had to be stored in lobby area, not loads of space to sort cases etc.
