Dormy Inn Hatchobori Tokyo

Nice area, not too far from Hibiya line. Bath was pretty good, love the Dormy freebies. Overall a good stay! Smaller room than other Dormy Inns, missed having open air bath option. These are minor, though.

Their Hot Springs were gorgeous, well maintained and with proper amenities. I also appreciate the added amenities like their Ramen service in the evenings and their ice cream and Yakult in the evenings and mornings respectively. The internet was great strength and speed. The property is riverfront and there are places to sit and enjoy the river on both sides of the river, beautiful evening strolls. The location is a bit far from any easy or direct subway. About an 8 minute walk to a station that will get you to Ginza proper, and possibly a transfer or two to other local hot spots. It's removed from popular dining as well. The pillows and beds were horrendous, The whole place reeked of cigarette smoke and no amount of filtration, air flow or sprays could get rid of the smell. I'm not sure if it was just our floor or our rooms but we had children and we weren't the only families there and its as disappointing to have to deal with the odor.

Location along the river was lovely. Hibiya train station very convenient to hotel. Rooms are very small. Used shower stall as closet because two people's luggage is too much for square footage of room. For one person it would have been fine. Onsen baths eliminated need to use shower anyway. Love Dormy for solid breakfast, free ice cream and ramen and laundry!

It was a cosy room with sufficient space to lay out at least one luggage comfortably. The presence of an onsen is really nice too. Staff were really nice. NIL. Everything was pretty good!

The bed and pillow were very hard!

Loved the onsen, laundry and services Hard to comment as I travelled to other areas of city mostly. Location was a little more difficult for trains as needed connections, but could have been me. I didn’t enjoy area around hotel as I was not around. Next time I will explore locally more.

Some staffs are very helpful and some staffs don't want to be bothered.

The natural hot spring is so wonderful ?! It was so relaxing and peaceful. The location is about at least ~7 minutes from the station but still quite central.

The Onsen was absolutely beautiful, and there were a number of things that went above and beyond expectations. The first was the onsen - it's really beautiful. And there are a number of little extras that you just don't expect. I don't want to ruin these surprises for others but make sure you read the posters in the elevators. Whilst there is no kitchen for guests there is a microwave that you can use to heat food - this is very common in Japan. There is a supermarket that has plenty of fruit and veg and good convenience meals 150 m away. We were there on Sat Sun and Mon. It was so quiet. Some areas of Tokyo are so overwhelming and I'm so glad that we stayed in Hatchobori. It has great train access and the old fish markets and Ginza are walkable. Laundry facilities are excellent. The staff were extremely accommodating with our monstrous amount of ski luggage that we shipped via Black Cat from Hakuba to Tokyo while we were in Kyoto and Nagoya. We had some complications with the bookings of our rooms and my not understanding the different styles when booking. Not a negative but a flag for expectations: The double rooms are cramped for Westerners - it's very common not to have storage space for clothes and luggage in Japanese hotels, so travel as light as possible. The Queen rooms are considerably more spacious and easier to be in, but are still small by Western standards. We'd sent our ski gear off with Black Cat and just travelled with our carry-on luggage. The hotel has on open to the air roof over the middle (this will make sense when you see it). It was really cold when we were there, so this means that you may get cold between your beautiful warm room and the elevator on the upper floors. Our original room on the 5th floor was fine.

Breakfast, public bath, ice cream after bath, late night ramen, friendly staff, proximity to train station (line that goes directly to Disney as well as connects to other lines easily). The room was dark and uninviting after a long day of exploring or being at Disney, bed was too firm and pillow was very uncomfortable.

Nice hotel, I had cheapest possible small room, so cannot say about better ones. Hotel has onsens and sauna, very good relax after the day of visiting. I didn't order breakfast, so cannot say much about it. Room was very clean. They have free coffee, but after 3 pm only.. I would love free coffee in the morning , at least maybe coffee bag in my room?

Wonderful feast for eyes and belly! Enjoyed being able to sample small bites of many tasty foods. For me, the options available were just right.

Ramen at night and Onsen

My family love Onsen and Japanese breakfast, it very well spent for vacation. We loved the hydration station that provided a lot of choice for drink, ice cream during the day and night time served ramen that included with price you already paid. NA

We LOVED the Onsen. The facilities were so nice and clean. The free ice cream, yogurt drinks, and nightly ramen was delicious. It was more expensive and the room was the smallest we stayed in on our trip. It is very dated and needs a good remodel.

I love the women’s side of the onsen. It was beautiful and clean. There were two locations to wash clothes which was very convenient. It was located on the river which on the 12 floor we were able to kinda see from the window. The room was laid out in way that made it hard to find a spot for opening a suitcase. There’s no luggage rack. Instead of having a small table and two stools at the end of the bed, a small bench would have been perfect as it could double as a spot for the suitcase. The station entrance is not far about 10 minutes away. If you are sight seeing it could be a negative. I’ve stayed at almost every Dormy in Tokyo. This is by far the quietest one. There was almost no street noise. That was a HUGE PLUS for us but that also means you’re more far removed from tourist things.

The room was cleaned daily and with great care (on day 2 they saw that we both need the large sized pj's so they brought an extra one without us having to ask for it) and we received bottled water daily. It's neat picky but the breakfast was a bit dull and repetitive. We've stayed at numerous dormy inn locations and the breakfasts are usually wonderful and plentiful so it was a bit disappointing. Also the room is a bit small but not very different fron other japanese hotels.

It was great that we had access to the onsen all day. It was very clean and comfortable to use. Complimentary ramen was a nice touch. Breakfast was of amazing quality. Bed was not comfortable. Pillows were not comfortable but they accomodated us with new ones.
