Kaminarimon Ryokan

I did have a problem on the first night the room was not clean fully. there was tape and blood on the sheets. i tried to call the front desk get it changed but the front desk at the time didn't have a English speaker.

Very tastefully decorated with a large and comfortable room. Maybe a little too close to a very crowded area.

Amazing location next to the shrine, in close proximity to so much in the area, very comfortable, immaculately clean, breakfast presentation was incredible. Nice to have laundry facility available and the staff are so accommodating. Nothing. Not one complaint.

The location in Asakusa was excellent for exploring, extremely quiet and tranquil, and right next to the Asakusa train station, making it easy to get around the city. The hotel staff went above and beyond helping us arrange to have some luggage sent to the airport to be picked up later.

A truly authentic Japanese Ryokan experience in the center of Tokyo! I had a lovely 5 night stay here on the tail end of my trip. It’s in a touristy part of town but as soon as you enter it’s a quiet oasis of calm - they have really good sound proofing! I stayed in a Japanese style room with a Tatami mat. It was so clean and they offer a welcome treat. Everything was very well thought out and staff were so polite. Just a suggestion: I wish I had known beforehand that you have to book/reserve the limited places for the traditional Japanese breakfast. Unfortunately when I checked in, it was full for my entire stay :-( Also, I would have liked a bit more help/advice on how to get to Narita Airport. I ended up paying 27,000 Yen for a taxi but I think I could have caught a shared cab from another hotel…

Busy days in the city but the ryokan immediately put the mind at ease.

The property is clean and comfortable. It is next to the shrine and close to the metro station, restaurant and shopping.

Easy access to the metro - 1 block away. VERY QUIET even though there are thousands of people directly outside taking photos of the huge gate. The staff were awesome and the hotel was spotless Nothing

This hotel was an incredible oasis in the chaos of the area. I had such a pleasant and quiet room. It was clean, beautiful and the staff was so kind and lovely. I will be dreaming about returning and would highly recommend. One of the best parts of the location was walking out to senso ji in the night and early in the morning and having it almost all to myself to enjoy and explore. What a delightful ryokan and wonderful experience all around!

This was a unique establishment whose management sets an unparalleled standard for hospitality.

The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was absolutely beautiful; clean and well designed and the location was very central as well. Also, despite being in a busy area, the room seemed to be soundproof and noise from outside was not an issue. The hotel was right next to Senso-ji Temple, which I enjoyed because it gave us a chance to see the temple grounds lit up at night but it is also very busy during the day so keep that in mind if large crowds aren't your thing.
