Unique capsule hotel experience in Tokyo at a good location near many sights. Helpful and friendly staff, clean facilities, near public transport and it's inexpensive. Lack of a communal kitchen, no free tea/coffee or vending machine with hot beverages and snacks.

Good position: very close to the metro station and Senso-Ji temple area. Very large choice of good restaurants and bars in the neighbourood. I suggest it for a short stay (5 days about). Some receptionist spoke English, which is not common in Japan. The room was small for the price we paid. We went to Japan for 3 weeks, so we had large luggages which could hardly fit in the room.

The place is very clean and calm. I was suppose to only stay a couple of days, i did a week. The capsules are very clean, same for showers and toilets. You have your own locker ( they give you a key ). There's also a common space if you wanna work. Would recommand !

Typical Japanese capsule hotel. Location is great and right in the middle of Asakusa next ro Tawaramachi. Place is very clean (cleanest I’ve seen in Japan). Theres also a spacious common room Laundry is expensive and the clothes dont smell any good. I dont think they use a lot of detergent which is a shame. Couches in the common room looked old and used.

Very good capsule hotel. The capsule is also big enough to fit (taller) European people. I am 1,84 and could fit without any problems in length, height or width

Easy access to restaurants, food at any time, sightseeing spots, friendly staff ,clean building, the luggage locker and reading area within the dorm, the pillows, sheets, blankets. The common room on second floor looking down to the street. The building picks up all the people steps from your bed, noisier than a normal hostel although there were only a few guests in my dorm. As to luggages moving you can even hear more. Only one sink is workable for the entire floor The AC is very cold as my bed is facing the fan Please remind the guests at check-in how to turn on the power for the lights to turn on. There are no cooking facilities. Only a microwave. Guests are given a bundle of keys and cards attached to a cord. I question the sanitary conditions used daily over hand, neck contact…and wonder if they could be sanitized. Perhaps a plastic washable fob would do. To travel thru the floors with the flimsy disposable oversized slippers are dangerous. They don’t stay on your feet and I got tripped. Daiso 100 yen house slipper is much safer. The hallway light is very bright all night…don’t know if it can be turned off. The front door is opened 24 hours, unattended.

Mao is an easy going person, and the place is very familiar. You can use the kitchen if you need to. I believe this is a good place for young people and surfers, but not for average or elderly travellers. The bed is not very comfortable and there were some stains on the sheets. Air-con stinks a bit and in general the place was very humid.
