I stayed only one night because the location worked well for me. The dorm is not designed for a quiet stay at all. There is a toilet right in the middle of the room area with very loud doors. Even my wax earplugs could not block out the noise during night. I reported this place to Booking for anti-hygiene and I also plan to report it to the sanitation authorities.

The location, and just that. It was extremely dirty. In my bed there was a pack of bread with mold and in my friend's bed there was dirty clothes from the previous guest. They ask us to take of our shoes, but someone else just took our shoes slot and slipper. The shower room there was no private place to change clothes, so you kinda have to get naked in front of other people or wait to take shower in a time no one is going to take shower. And there was no outlet at the bed to charge my phone.

Kitchen was REPULSIVE, worse condition I have ever seen in a hostel and no soap or anything to clean with. Did we not have the budget for shelves in the refrigerator?
-
All the rest, dirty and a mess! The kitchen is ridiculous. The cleaning singing loud while people were trying to rest is super disrespectful.
-
Location Unhygienic. Noisy guest in the middle of the night. Not clean around the bed.
-
Understaffed, only one of the shower rooms have storage area (changing room in shower is too small, without any place to pur your belongings in)

Clean

Very cheap and convenient, location for the price can’t be beat. Staff is nice enough. Been staying here for almost 2 decades, and post-COVID the facilities are really showing their age, despite the recent updates in the past couple years. The atmosphere is not as inviting as it used to be. Feels very old and sterile now in a way it didn’t previously. Lots of signs posted all over threatening legal action and/or fines for violating facility rules.

Great value in a great location

Location and price. Also, for a female dorm, I love how it's still spacious and big luggages have a lot of room near your bed. Maybe the toilets. They didn't have the traditional Japanese bidets. Also, I wish there were showers on every floor but the shower was fine.

There was nothing to grab when I climbed up and down the bed and I almost fell down

The staff who assisted was very accommodating. The pillow, blanket and bed were clean and comfortable. This is not about the property but how the other guests are very careless. I couldnt sleep well because the person who was sleeping on the upper deck infront of my bed kept going up and down his bunker. His footsteps is so heavy and also the lights were turned on. This made me even more irritated.

Receptionists and staff members with fluent English speaking level and willingness to help guests with individual concerns. However it’s not easy to discuss with cancellation request with any refunds. Due to the winter holiday season, very few guests staying at the luxury men’s floor. Therefore, more spaces and less noises are probably the ONLY good thing during my 5 days stays. Hygienes are bad at individual bunkbed areas. Chunks of human hairs and garbages can be found underneath almost every bunkbed mattresses of the luxury men’s rooms. Old air conditioners with Japanese only controller is a mess and ignored guests who don’t read Japanese language. So you have to make sure the function is set to ´Heating’, not ´Cooling’ in the middle of winter! (Don’t ask me why they don’t put a translation beside these controllers) The shared toilet on the same floor has a strong smell of human urines and stools if you leave the door opened slightly. So they should have put a written notice on the toilet door in order not to let these smells out in the dormitory. There’s no hot water in the toilet so you need to take the elevator all the way down to the basement level and use the shower room for hot water. Again, the season now is in December with single digits celsius temperatures. The small kitchen on the top floor is very dirty with refugee camping styles of cookwares & bad electrical single stove. A small refrigerator is working but full of dirty greases dusts and leftover bottles taken over the limited space. Everything seems to be made with the only purpose of decreasing your appetite, I mean you probably won’t mind if you’re a homeless person who get used to such filthy environment. But they still charge you ¥4,000 per night with 0 possibilities of getting any refund back! It’s a nightmare for anyone who has an international standard on hygienic need. Again, it seemed everyone in this business is not that innocent. Any guests will be forced to become a victim in such circumstances by design. So blame yourself for not read carefully all the bad reviews about this business and blame more on booking.com who’s completely ignored these concerns and still collaborating with such business for $$$ making purposes! Get familiar with how to activate the side door code if you have no knowledge on these Japanese door code systems.

- Bed felt private - Great water pressure and warm water for showers - Hot water (for tea/ramen) on 1st and 9th floor - Nice toilets on 1st floor and in basement - Great location - View from 9th floor common space - A lot of bad reviews on showers, but they were fine during our stay - Could be cleaner - Bathroom on 9th floor had no soap, hot water, or toilet paper

Cheap, comfy The bathroom on my floor smelled so bad I nearly threw up. I had to use the elevator to go to a different floor every time I used the bathroom
