Shinjuku Washington Hotel Main

The location was perfect for us, we enjoy the free viewing @The Government Building next door, and steps to station and other shopping area. The breakfast was phenomenal as we get to choose the Japanese Style Buffet or the General Buffet. The food choices were excellent with fresh quality! Being that it's our first time to Japan, we were planning on the Airport Shuttle that directly drops off in front of the hotel. That was the main reason I booked this particular hotel. However the tickets were sold out when we arrived at the airport, next available was going to be 2 hours wait. We ended up taking the train, scrambling to find out how to take it to the hotel and carrying all the luggage through the stairs. Not Hotel's fault, but just be aware that this can happen if you are relying on Airport Shuttle. I am still glad that I booked this one anyway.

I have said this before on here, but I LOVE this hotel. It is an excellent value. Great location, restaurants and a laundry room. The staff speak English. It is a home away from home for me because I have to go to Japan once a year for business. I found a great value and I am very loyal to this hotel. Nothing.

I love everything about this hotel, not because it is the single best hotel in Tokyo but because for the money, I cannot imagine a better value. The location, the rooms, the amenities, and the staff speak English. They have some great restaurants in the ground floor and a Lawson with an ATM and all kinds of snacks and stuff that is open 24 hours. Honestly, this place feels like home. I go to Tokyo once a year on business and I always stay here. I have stayed here four times and I cannot imagine going anywhere else. There is NOTHING I do not like about this hotel.

I absolutely love this hotel. I go every year and it has started to feel like a home away from home. I cannot recommend it enough not because it is a five star hotel like the Hyatt next door, but because for the money, it is an excellent value. It has everything you need including a 24 hour Lawson, excellent restaurants, and a laundry room. I love this hotel. Nothing.

Not that far from the train station The bathroom was too small and so the room. The aircon was loud, the walls are so thin that i can hear the people outside the hallway

Location is excellent, close to Shinjuku train station and within walking distance to many shops & restaurants The lady who checked us in on early Monday (at around 5-6am on July 6, 2026) was overwhelming rude and unhelpful. When we told her we want to check in, she coldly told us no check-in till 2pm without checking that our reservation included the day before and I also informed the hotel about our late check-in in advance and they were okay with that. During the check-in, she was rude, unfriendly and always gave us 1-word answer. We have been traveling to many places and stayed in numerous hotels & resorts but we have never experienced such a rude staff, and we were more surprised because we were in Japan!

It is close to everything. Down the block is the Metropolitan Government Building with free access to area view of Shinjuku on the 45th floor and nightly light show out in the courtyard. 10 mins walk to the shopping center and around the corner is the train. Super convenient. The room could be a bit more spacious.

airport shuttle bus will take you directly to the hotel, if you're going to stay here then i recommend taking it. it's a very comfortable ride and the bus itself is immaculate. location of the hotel is nice and remarkably convenient, there's a familymart on floor one and a lawson in the basement. there's also an underground passage under the hotel that leads directly to shinjuku station if you're going on lots of day trips. lots of restaurants, cafes, etc in the hotel and nearby. the staff are also lovely and there are all the amenities you may need in reception. the lack of fresh air in the rooms gave me issues with my sinus, you cannot open the windows. the room itself is incredibly cramped, large checked suitcases cannot fit underneath the bed and if you have extra items there's nowhere to store them. i'd recommend a standard double room for a very short and/or solo stay, but if you're staying with someone it is far too cramped to stay long term.

Breakfast was great. Rooms were clean. Employees were very nice. Limited laundry facilities. Had to wait till laundry facilities were available. Need more laundry machines.

I don’t like anything. Hotel was extremely old and dirty especially the bathroom. The bathroom smells horrible. It smells like sewage. Room is old and stinky. Our room backed up to elevators and the noise was terrible when trying to sleep

The position of the hotel was perfect, close to plenty of restaurants and the Shinjuku Station! Unfortunately it’s not possible to open the windows. However, the AC works pretty well.

The location is near Shinjuku JR and train stations. About 10 min walk. The hotel has an underground connecting to the malls and JR and train stations. the bed was not tidy properly just using quit cover to cover over the bed. tables were not clear up. After complaining to the reception, it was done up to normal hotel standard.

It is very accessible to trains and most important the limousine bus which is just right in front of the hotel. Nothing

The room was rather small, but exactly what I needed. For an individual it is a perfectly sized room. It was also conveniently located near the business I had in the area, which was perfect. The airport shuttle was nice to have when I was flying home.
