Perfect stay at Suzumeya! Lovely, helpful staff, great atmosphere, the perfect base for our last couple of nights in Japan.

The rooms are small but very functional. Even though we have 4 luggage, the staff helped us get through the steep stairs and there was enough space for everything. The location is so close to the Tsukiji Fish Market so you can wake up early and get your fish and/or seafood fix!

I highly recommend staying at Old House Suzumeya. The setting is exactly as described and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Do yourself a favor by staying here!! Shower is a bit small but that is typical of Japan. I wish I could stay in Tokyo longer so I could stay at Suzumeya!

We stayed for 6 nights and yes the showers were shared, and it can be cramped. I personally didn’t mind it, and people wake up at different times. The room was quite big, honestly. The bathrooms and showers seemed to be always clean too. Oh and the beds were sooo comfortable! Had great sleep every night. I would definitely come back next time I’m in Tokyo!
