Staff was very friendly. The room did not have a private bathroom but the public shower and toilet was very clean. The room did include a private sink which was much appreciated. The check in/check out process was very easy and having the bar downstairs makes for easy accessible service. We also had dinner at the bar downstairs and they had a fantastic jazz band playing with quick and friendly service. I didn’t like that the room did not include a private bathroom. I may have over looked this in the booking but we were staying for just one night so not a huge deal.

We were only in town for a night and would have liked to attend one of your concerts but there were none booked for July 1st.

Great location, fantastic music, friendly staff All good. Room was tiny, but very clean, well appointed, very nice washroom.

I stayed for just one night in a single room with a private bathroom. The room had excellent air conditioning, which kept it nice and cool, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The location is outstanding, with easy access to all types of public transportation and many popular attractions within walking distance. Overall, it’s an excellent value and a great choice for a short stay. The property is older and the furniture shows its age, so some renovations and updates would improve the overall experience. It can also be a bit noisy since it’s located on a busy street, but that’s to be expected given its central location.

Excellent location! Nothing really.

Great location close to fantastic restaurants, cafes, shopping. Room was small but sufficient for just sleeping in. Music downstairs was fantastic. Clean.

Amazing location, great staff, clean room. Proper curtains that kept out the light in the morning! Better AC.

Staff were amazing and the rooms were clean. Had a shared bathroom but we never had to wait and they were very nice. Got in to a show for free and was an amazing price overall.

The price was great, as was the location. The music and bar food were good in the adjoining bar. I was up one flight of stairs and so the rooms are over the performance space of the jazz club. You can hear the music in your room until at least 11 PM. They advertise 'coffee and toast' included, but that's not until 9:00-9:30 AM. The rooms are small, but OK. My room had a private bathroom in the room, but the sink was very small and arranged in such a way that you couldn't conveniently spit in it when brushing your teeth. Other rooms apparently are more like living in a dorm when you share a bathroom that opens on the hall.

The location is immaculate. Walking distance to every form of public transit (bus, subway, streetcar) and the one time that I needed an Uber instead it was surprisingly nominally priced to get downtown. Staff is very knowledgable, very helpful, conversational and friendly. They held my bags for no charge when I arrived early on the first day and let me in after hours on my final night when I’d lost my key card. They held a pizza delivery at the front desk when it got to the hotel before I did, totally as a courtesy without asking. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, private bathroom was surprisingly modern and had all necessary toiletries. Extra blanket was in the room with no ask or charge. Never did turn on the TV so can’t say. Live band downstairs nightly and a nice little restaurant/bar combo for food and drink. Will absolutely stay again. If you need space, you won’t find it. Hallways, staircases, and rooms are quite tight for anything more than one person. That’s to be expected for such a building with age and character, though, and it was no issue for me whatsoever since I’m a solo traveller not needing sprawling space.

Comfortable beds. Great location. Staff were super friendly. You get what you pay for. Some rooms have a private bathroom. I booked late and so had shared bathroom. Not a fan of that, but it is what it is and price is very reasonable for the location. Breakfast isn't served until 9:30 am which is insanely late. Dude serving breakfast (at the bar) is not the friendliest. BUT breakfast was fantastic. We opted to pay for full breakfast and you won't leave hungry if you get the special.

Hotel, bar & food all in 1 place. The staff were friendly! A lot of noise from outside can be heard while trying to sleep.

Best location for the price. Love the Pub and the live music

I arrived early than regular check in and they were extremely polite and helpful. The location is awesome; all different kinds of food right outside the door. Had a great dinner at the hotel while listening to live jazz.. One block away from the subway station. loved it all - but there is no elevator , so if you need that you should know. I was on the top floor with no problems :)
