DoubleTree by Hilton Torrance - South Bay

Nice stay

I liked the breakfast the most. I went to work in Torrance CA for a week, and it was nice to have a warm breakfast every morning. The bed was soft and clean. The furniture in the room was very outdated, especially the cabinets with drawers, made funny noise and doors very misaligned-definety poor maintenance. Even though at the front desk they said I had the "Executive room which was upgraded". It was a joke!- they just replaced the top counters and left the very old furniture not maintained at all. I was so tired after long hours working that my only thought was to take a shower and deal with the water coming outside to the bathroom floor, it was leaking by the old sliding door, had to use two towels on the floor to contain the water. I reported the situation to front desk the first day. They said will call maintenance team, but nothing was fixed. I had to work long hours and had no time to complain. Just took a shower soaking the two towels and felt asleep. stayed here because it was close to the place and my company paid the stay. Plenty of parking at a fee, secured and the restaurante was pricy but had decent menu. I am Hilton honor member. I will not stay there for vacation with my family

This hotel is fine for the price.

So there seems to be a little scam going on there w the parking.

If I have future business in the Long Beach/Redondo Beach area, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Beautiful rooms, GREAT restaurant downstairs for dinner was such a surprise. Clean, lovely.

Location is prime the breakfast was better than expected The constant fan in bathroom unable to switch off

The restaurant food is good. The pool is lovely. There are really no amenities other than a fitness center.

Breakfast was great, the staff went so above and beyond on every aspect of this trip, and I cannot possibly recommend this spot enough. This place is doing hospitality incredibly right.
