The staff were incredibly kind and the ryokan was very traditional and quaint. The room was comfortable and the cold water and tea ready to make was a nice touch when we got to our room. The guest baths were nice and clean. The family bath was a bit frustrating. Since our room didn’t have a private bath, I wanted to stay with my husband and the family bath was always taken. They should have a way for guests to sign in to the family bath and then a guest waiting could sign up next and know when to come down from their room as each guest is allotted an hour.

friendly staff: the receptionist helped us find good places to eat at in Tottori. The traditional breakfast was great.

Onsen, Japanese garden, location No shower in rooms, instead onsen which needs only couple of steps to take.

Great ryokan, very comfortable. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. The Onsen is accessible all night, great if you are jet lagged. Nothing

Super friendly and highly professional staff. Breakfast and Dinner were well-prepared and very delicious. The Onsen felt so comforting after a long winter day. Overall the Ryokan feels like "home" so we would definitely like to return someday. Thank you for the experience!

The room was really, really big. the public bath area was new and comfortable

The private onsen was very much appreciated!

Very helpful staff, friendly but respectful of privacy. The access to the front entry was obscured by construction. I’m sure this will be remedied soon.

Good location, close to the station. Very kind staff, they also speak a bit of English which is very helpful. The public bath is great with a private option. Would also recommend the Japanse breakfast which was very good! -

The location is only a short walk from the station. The staff were excellent and very accommodating. The onsen is a really nice way to finish a day of sightseeing. The Japanese breakfast was amazing.

Nice location, amenities and hot springs. Clean and well looked after. Nice to have kid toys, books and mangas for guest use. By host, I refer to one female employee working here, as she was the only person we interacted with during our stay. Host would charge for anything additional: they asked approximately 5000 yen for an additional shiki-button (Japanese futon bed), which we declined and made due with my son and I sharing a bed, hence not being comfortable. They also charged us 300 yen for one additional small pillow. When asked for the pillow, host seemed to decide ad hoc how much to charge. Greed was in the air.

Wonderful ryokan that is extremely value for money. Location was a short walk from Tottori Station, and close to a lot of good food (the best ones all require reservation, though). Great private / family bath, beautiful garden, spacious room. They also managed to book a superb masseur for me (4000yen for 40min). This is a traditional ryokan, so shower facilities are communal and colocated with the onsen facilities (i.e. you may need to shower with strangers close by). There is a private family bath available, though you might have to queue/wait for it.

Food, amenity, nonsense, and crews. None.
