Hôtel Chez Jaqueline

The room itself had no carpet, was modern, simple, clean, had air conditioning, had windows that could stay open through the night if you preferred, was cool in temperature even though I had a third (fourth) floor room, and Marc at the reception desk and hotel manager was exceptionally helpful. He was also very prompt in responding to questions I sent to him by email or if I called him by phone. It was also a safe place to stay and it was very convenient and close to the train station and it was also close to very good restaurants and the heart of the old city. You could use it as a base to walk back and from museums, restaurants, cathedrals, chateaus and other sites throughout the day.

Location near station wasn’t to bad for an overnight stay Room was quite small. The room required climbing four stories up Staircase. Fortunately the owner provided some assistance with our luggage. bathroom towels were worn out and needed replacement.

The bed was comfortable. Close to the station. Nice staff. A little noisy. WiFi was iffy.

Was difficult to find, it's a door underneath a restaurant and although the satnav took us straight there, you are turning into a footpath which turns into a street so we drove past the turnoff twice and only turned when the car in front went up there.

The electricity power was on/off for more than 10 times in three hours period from 7pm to 10pm. Which is absolutely unacceptable.

What a pleasant and comfortable hotel just down the street from the train station. In the am walked into the lobby and discovered a delicious breakfast. Coffee, croissants, ham, cheese, baguette , jam, and yogurt. Absolutely nothing to not like. Rooms were spacious, comfortable, sparkling clean w great bedding and multiple pillows.

The manager was nice and frown but not helpful Old. Dirty. Unsafe. Smelled. No elevator. No air conditioning. 4the floor walk up on a tiny spiral staircase in the heat. No air! No fans! No AC! The rooms smelled of must and cigarettes!

Location is right next to the train station we needed to take for the next leg of our trip.There is an excellent restaurant next door owned by owner of hotel. The staff was wonderful-Mack. A nice typical BNB type breakfast. Room is very small. The entrance hall needs refurbishing. There are little things than can be done to make this place better. Example—the plants outside the window where we had breakfast were dead. Would make it more quaint to see a few flowers there. A Nespresso type coffee machine would be welcome for the early risers.

A discreet and spotless little hotel close to the station. Very close to an excellent bistro serving local specialities. The entry is deceptively modest, but it led into a room where the spacious ensuite shower gave it a sense of luxury above its star rating. Service: we arrived earlier than the usual turnover time and had also forgotten (till a late stage) to notify the hotel of our arrival time. As soon as he got the message of our arrival, Monsieur Paul came and found us (in the nearby bistro), and showed us in with unflappable good humour. So, be aware it is necessary to let the hotel know when you are arriving, as you may not be able to get in immediately if you do not. This is not unknown in France (English tourists take heed). But it was managed beautifully. The room was at the back and very quiet, (many hotels in central locations are not). Breakfast at 10 francs + Tax included a sourdough loaf that was memorable even by French standards, and the butter included a choice of cultured butter (wish we could find it more easily in England). Monsieur Paul also provided us with a map and pointed out the main areas of attraction. I'm accustomed to the notion that a small family hotel might not have a permanently manned desk but it may take other Brits by surprise. Better to warn them that this hotel really does need a reasonably defined arrival window. I forgot about this so, my own fault that the hotel was taken a bit by surprise and as I say in the review, Monsieur came looking and found us - so the service was excellent.

Not a lot. It was clean and tidy, but very, very basic. It is absolutely not a 3* hotel! The pretty picture of the outside of the building is actually a lovely Brasserie with nothing to do with the hote!l To access Hotel Jacquiline you go through a couple of side doors leading to a very narrow, very tatty, winding staircase takes you to a makeshift reception desk which is not always manned. A family who arrived later than us could not get in as they had locked the doors, and reception was closed. Another narrow, equally tatty staircase takes you to the various bedrooms. It's very disappointing and certainly not what you expect from a 3* Hotel. Poor ?

The situation Up six flights of narrow stairs, no lifts and we are elderly this was not mentioned on booking, breakfast room was also the laundry room so very smelly and damp, bathroom door needed two people to open and close it, the WiFi did not reach that floor, parking was street parking and this was not mentioned, air conditioning didn’t work despite being assured it did, someone in room below had music playing very loudly couldn’t open window to help ease stuffiness because air con didn’t work because the street was too noisy. We were offered the room for free but declined, still waiting to hear from booking dot dom for a resolution

Our room was comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. Marc, who seemed to be responsible for everything from reception to cleaning, was marvelous. The location couldn’t have been better. The public spaces are threadbare, the stairs are steep, and the breakfast, despite Marc’s best efforts, was poor.

No internet connection!

Very close to the station and convenient No wifi when you're on the 3rd floor No lift Noisy especially from the street at night.

Good location WiFi was awful, more like student accommodation, car parking pretty difficult.
