Location and kind staff Old space and targeted for elderly. Pool area is also below average.

There is no private parking, so you have to use nearby public parking and pay for it. Our first room was very small and the bathroom had an unpleasant smell. After we complained, we were moved to a slightly larger room, but it still wasn’t great. There were only 2 power outlets, and the shower temperature constantly changed between hot and cold. The biggest disappointment was the staff. They were not welcoming or helpful during our stay, and the check-out experience was especially unpleasant. The receptionist insisted that we return two room key cards even though we had only received one. Overall, the service left a very bad impression, and we did not enjoy our stay.

The Ac wasnt working an it was very hot. Also something fell off the wall onto my moms head it wasnt screwed on properly an the hotel refused to take responsibility. There was also no room service and empty fridge.

Loved balcony & location and restaurant was wonderful. Really enjoyed the fireworks off balcony one night. That was incredible. Nice having a bar downstairs too. My husband enjoyed that. Bathroom pretty small, elevator got tied up and was hard with luggage. Should offer someone to take luggage to room & add a ceiling fan for comfort.

The Staff was excellent! The lady at the front desk had tons of tips and helped us have an amazing weekend! Honestly nothing. The room was super clean, and the breakfast was delicious. Overall amazing value for money.

Surprised that a hotel this size didn't offer parking. We had to park down the street a good distance away from the hotel. It was not convenient.

the view and the cleanliness. also right by the ferry and very walkable to all of the town. I felt safe. I did get engaged on the balcony which made the whole experience so much better. we didn’t make it until 4:15 due to high ferry traffic from Varenna. It was my birthday and I was excited to swim. They told me the pool closes at 6pm and didn’t open until 10am (checkout time). By the time I got something to eat, I didn’t get to swim. They also said if i wanted to swim, i would have to purchase my own towel. Additionally, I paid extra for the breakfast and everything was very bad. Not sure how that was possible. The omelette cooked in front of me was terrible. There was only 1 outlet in the room. The AC unit was in there but didn’t work so we were hot all night. The shower was made for one tiny person and the doors kept falling off. Very tacky for the price.

The location is the strong point of this place, the facilities not so much. The pool area was poorly maintained. The reception people and bar staff were all bitter and disappointed every time I nicely asked for something, in Italian or English to be honest, so there wasn’t a language misunderstanding.

Parking. As far as I'm aware, there's no hotel parking — I did notice 2 spots out front, but I'm not sure if they were reserved. There's paid parking in front of the hotel and a bit more before and after, but it's quite far. That said, this seems to be a general issue with the location rather than a problem specific to this hotel. Next time I'd probably park in Como and take the ferry to Tremezzo, since I didn't end up using the car anyway.
