Catamaran 6 Guest Inn

I liked the convenient location and the peaceful atmosphere and the balcony view. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the stay was comfortable. The catamaran experience was enjoyable and added a special touch to the visit. There was nothing that I particularly disliked. Overall, I had a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Very good

Such friendly staff - they were so accommodating and kind! The room itself was very large - the bed was comfy, the AC and fan worked really well and there wasn't an issue with mosquitoes. The ability to make tea was great and the location was perfect for exploring the market, temples and getting to the train station the next day! Also, the view from the room is really cool! The shower drain had quite a few flies buzzing around it which was a bit gross, but not sure the hotel can do much about that. Also, if you're a sensitive sleeper, bring earplugs as the sounds from the local market/mosque start up very early. Otherwise, no issues at all!

Passable

It was very cheap, but nevertheless everything we needed. The a/c was working well and the WiFi was good. One of the windows didn’t close properly and when it rained the floor in our room got wet.

Cozy, clean and spacious room. The air conditioning worked very well and the balcony shared with other rooms was spacious. I reccomend!

Everything No hot shower

Very accommodating staff, hospitable too. They do a pretty thorough job cleaning when rooms turn over. The location was okay, as we traveled by public bus. The common area was pretty hot, but understandable and acceptable.

Na/a The host tried to scam me into paying his booking.com commission fees. I have invoices to prove this. After I refused to pay, he agreed to the original price that was stated on booking.com. He also tried to cancel the booking after I checked out to try and claim back a no show cancellation fee! Avoid this place at all costs

calm and quiet place

Catamaran6 has great amenities. We had AC, a high speed fan, a big bed, and we were able to do our laundry there. The room was large so we could dry our clothes in the room (they do have an area on the second floor to hang dry your clothes as well). There’s also a tea kettle which we enjoyed because we had a lot of our own tea. There isn’t any hot water and the WiFi went in and out but the host was very helpful with trying to get it started again.

Pleasant

Clean room, no cleaning of change of sheets during the week (that would give a higher score) but appreciated that there was fridge and also a washer that all could use. When staying a week, a change of sheet and towels would have been appreciated

The location is close to the busstation, which suited us. We only stayed one night and just needed a place to sleep. Building looks like an office building, hotel is on the third floor. Rooms are big enough, clean have ac. Staff was friendly, helpful and responded very quickly to questions through the messaging service of booking.com. If you are in Trincomalee for the beach, I think there are better options, but for us it was great. A bit noisy maybe, but nothing too bad. Around 5 there was a mosque transmitting their prayers close by.

Very comfy and big rooms with balcony and a great view. Staff was very welcoming and could fullfil every wish. We were allowed to use the public refrigerator and water cattle. Even though it said there is no wifi on booking. There is wifi available in the rooms
