Loved how peaceful it was. The food was a little pricey

The whole experience and the look of it was beautiful. It’s not too far from town and perfect location from everything. The restaurant menu choices.

    Everything N/A

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Not a lot of food options close by or onsite

The main reason we picked this hotel was because of their own Cenote. It was not clean at all, and we did not see anyone go in it. When we arrived, the bathroom door was 2/3 shut and it would not open. We informed the front desk staff regarding this issue and it took them 3 days to fix it. The staff only asked us once to clean the room during our 4 day stay. There were bugs in side our hotel room, the water pressure for the shower was not great and water would get everywhere. The AC would often not work. The front desk staff is not friendly at all. The wifi does not work, and it is VERY FAR from downtown and the hotel zone. Furthermore, I would only recommend this hotel for the morning view.

The hotel was so beautiful with nature entwined into the facility. Plants, trees and wild life we at every turn. It was so refreshing and relaxing to wake up to daily.

It was such a unique location. The staff were very friendly. The food and drinks were AMAZING

It was a nightmare staying there they were under construction even in the cenote, they had construction going on in it. They said construction would be over by 4 PM. It wasn’t over till 7:30 PM. I tried to book somewhere else, but it was too late in the day. The construction started again early in the morning about 8:30 AM. There was trash at our private pool, which was not connected to our room which the photo show showed that they were connected to the room. They were not there was no hot tub in our room like it said online there was only a big bathtub that got lukewarm water at best. Don’t come here if you want to sleep or relax it’s a nightmare. The construction, the trash in my private pool the fact that my pool is not connected to my room like it said online. The construction inside the cenotè,the construction right outside my window the way I couldn’t get in touch with a concierge for my room unless I got online there was no phone to the concierge. The way my room faced another room and you could see straight inside another room for my room no privacy at all this place was not relaxing. I hated it. I will not recommend anyone to go there and I will never go there again.

Very pretty to look at definitely instagram worthy. But not functional or polished. On the surface its beautiful and you can take some cute photos. But functionally there were issues in our standard day to day. Showers are odd water gets everywhere. On the blinds, walls and wooded window frame as well as the floors even when trying to be careful. I imagine after a few years there will be mold and water damage issues. Already saw black mold growing on the window roller blinds next to the shower. Only one bottle of soap for the tub so no hand soap or soap in the little kitchenette area for washing hands or the plates we used. Pool was already showing signs that the paint on the walls were chipping off in large chunks which made the pool look run down. We only stayed here for 2 days and were out exploring most of the day so for what it was it was a good stay. But i wouldn’t stay here longer than a couple of days.

Breakfast was amazing, yet a little pricey. The menu could have used a few more simple options.

Wow! Tropical hidden paradise! Loved our magical stay! Like Jurassic Park! We stayed just one night and stayed on the property, enjoying a yoga class, swim, lunch, dinner, breakfast, cocktails and just enjoyed the sudden downpour on our patio watching the rain come down. Beds were so comfy and cozy. Amazing hot shower. The private cenote was my travel partner's favorite thing! She loved swimming and diving in the water. Food was a bit on the pricey side but we knew this coming in thanks to other reviews.

The hotel was wonderful! We absolutely loved everything about our stay. The staff was wonderful and you could use WhatsApp to immediately get assistance with anything from booking tours to basic questions about your room. The food was fantastic, the drinks were delightful and accommodations were fantastic. We had a tour canceled (scheduled with an outside party) a couple days before its start date and the hotel staff was eager to help. We ended up not doing a tour, but renting bikes, visiting a cenote and having lunch in the town. It was really an amazing trip that was all facilitated through casual conversation with employees who were super friendly. I have crazy diet restrictions due to allergies, which they were not only able to accommodate but also had multiple options for me. The breakfast was very delicious and filling and their cold brew coffee was on point. For lunch I had the best vegan sandwich i've ever had! For the two dinners we had, we shared a variety of plates and were extremely pleased with everything. My wife and I got massages at the resort and they were also amazing. I dont get massages often, but my wife does and said that her massage was among the best she's ever had. We will definitely be back next time we come to Tulum! These are not negatives for us, but may be for others. The hotel has a very private feel. Some of our meals we were the only ones in the dining room. Many of the tours have a pickup before 8 and breakfast / coffee does not open until 8.

The atmosphere was wonderful, rooms were nice and we loved the bath tub. Great to have food on site which was tasty. The golden milk lattes was delicious. Sergio and Mo were amazing. Sergio truly made us have the best time in Tulum and sent us to great places. We found that the restaurant service wasn’t amazing and it took very long to get things we ordered or when we asked for our check it took a while. The cafe girl could use some help making drinks as well during busy hours. Also, there is not one drop on sunlight on the lounge beds in front of the pool. I would suggest the cutting back some on the branches to allow more sunlight as this is the only place to sit and lounge. Additionally, I was disappointed to find that there were no yoga or Pilates classes on site. We were allowed to do our own routine but the one place was having work done to it.

Lots of mosquitos at the cenote so can’t really swim there, that’s a shame.

  • Engine customer Nov 2025

We couldn’t try the breakfast because there were some problems with the electricity. However, the food for dinner was delicious every day. What we liked the most was the architecture, the special atmosphere we felt there, and the staff at the restaurant were super friendly and professional.

  • Engine customer Jul 2025

I absolutely loved everything about this place! It’s beautifully designed and full of style, with outstanding service. The food at the restaurant is simply delicious — definitely don’t miss it. The atmosphere is enhanced by great music, and the room felt like a private villa with its own small pool. There’s also a charming little cenote and plenty of cozy spots to relax and take in the lush jungle views. A special thank you to Mauricio and Serjio — they were incredibly kind and made my stay so much better! Big thanks as well to Maria and Luisa for the delicious coffee, great food recommendations, and their warm, friendly service. Maybe bed could be longer, not sure how tall people fit there and the pillows are a bit were too puffy for me, but overall I highly recommend this hotel, it was an amazing stay

The property was amazing, very peaceful. The staff was very friendly and very very helpful. They would help with anything you need. From the hotel facilities to even outside trips, restaurants or anything they are always willing to help. Amazing people! We had a wonderful time.

Kan Tulum is one of the most beautiful and unique properties I have had the privilege to be a guest of - and I have traveled the world! What really drew me to select this property was their commitment to sustainability and protecting the natural environment. As a result of this, the trees' canopy is full and Kan guests are literally surrounded by nature and the jungle. The bird calls in the morning were so lovely and peaceful that I thought it might be coming from the hotel's speakers! Lol. But no, it was the plethora of local bird species that I had the honor of waking up to every morning! The restaurant was excellent and healthy, just slightly expensive. I especially loved the lunch menu. The room was spacious, and the bed was so ridiculously comfortable that my bed at home does not suffice now! The Wellness offerings from Paulina and Dr. Jean were absolutely divine! I took yoga almost every day including a "dancehall" yoga that everyone should try at least once! It was so much fun and energetic instead of relaxing like the other yoga classes! I had a Bee Venom Facial experience that was transcendental and the best massage of my life with Adriana! The owner, Sam, was present and very interesting to chat with. And I hope to keep in touch with him and return soon (especially because the Whale Shark Tour I had booked was cancelled). Mucho, mucho gracias for such a relaxing respite from the pressures of real life and the opportunity to experience such sustainable and gracious hospitality! The location was challenging for me because the transportation options were all more expensive than I had expected. I used the bicycles mostly but even at the lowest setting the seat was still too high for me which made for a very uncomfortable commute given the distance I had to go. I've heard that the taxi system is the problem. It is too bad that the hotel could not have a driver or shuttle for short commutes to town or the beach.

The staff were incredible. The room was beautiful. The restaurant and boutique were great. Only bead part is that I didn't have time to visit the spa. Next time! Muchas gracias N/A
