There was No cleaning service, the same towels for 3 days and no garbage pick up, our place stunk bad after a few days

It’s beautiful and perfectly located near an atv rental and restaurants. No complaints

They say "breakfast included" (it was my first selection criteria) but only after you book and pay is that they tell you that "breakfast" is only 2 toasts with jam and a coffee. They mentioned a fruit in the message but not even the fruit was served, and I asked for butter but there wasn't even butter (forget about a oiece of cheese). It said "free parking" (it was my second selection criteria) but "free parking" was not inside the property. It was on the street! This is not a facility to be listed!!! At last, the maintenance was very bad. The fabric of the sunbeds had mold, and the bathroom fittings were falling apart. Not to mention the size of the towels.

The whole neighborhood is awful: unpaved streets with lots of trash and deep puddles, 5 km/h is risky. The unlit sign in a recess of the wall is barely visible. One person opened the door at our arrival, but otherwise the door was locked, glad we asked for the combination before the guy disappeared. Inside is very spacious and modern, but we could not get any internet signal, no wifi, no telephone: crippling! Very nice modern condo without the basic infrastructure, why is this called a hotel??? It reflects poorly on Booking.com no internet, no staff, awful neighborhood

i liked the room and the bed, but there was no one there to ask about the check in or check out, we almost were not able to get in cause they never send the code for the front door. They did not have anyone to take care, there was no one to help when the entry door was blocked. They have breakfast but there was no one to ask in the morning for the breakfast and when we asked later they told us that the breakfast was bread and coffee and in the reservation says with fruit. Bad service. I dont recommend this hotel

The best thing about this place is the staff, in particular Veronica. She was so friendly and helpful. Her communication was excellent and she is an all-round lovely person who helped us with lots of things including recommendations for restaurants and beach clubs, as well as booking taxis and transportation. She really made our stay a good one despite a few issues. The room we ended up in after changing rooms was large and clean. It had a very comfortable bed. First of all this isn’t really a hotel, more like a group of Air BnB rooms and apartments. The breakfast is almost non existent- just coffee and pre-made toast from a packet. We ate breakfast in the cafe across the road most days. The rooms are nice but when we arrived we were put in a room far smaller and with fewer facilities than the one we booked online. We were moved the next day and while our new room was nice it had a few issues. The plunge pool was dirty. There were no kitchen utensils or glasses in the kitchenette. There was no shower gel. The rooms are not serviced - we were there for a week and had to ask for fresh towels half way through. Our room was on the ground floor and had no open balcony and all the windows had bamboo screens in front which made it very dark with nowhere to dry towels or swimming costumes. Also our ground floor room was right next to reception so when you were in the shower you could hear people checking in and eating breakfast right next to you. Majaro is a bit of a no mans land between the town and the beach down a very bad pot holed track. We thought we could ride bicycles around but the roads around are far too rough and the main road has no pavement/sidewalks and lots of traffic and the beach is really quite far to ride to so we decided against bicycles as it felt dangerous. We ended up hiring a car but that was very expensive. If you can get an apartment on second or third floor they looked much nicer than the ground floor rooms. I would say a car is essential for getting around. This place could be so much better if they had more staff and provided a proper breakfast in the morning and also had daily room cleaning and bed /towel changing. Really the staff and in particular Veronica made this place acceptable for us as they were so nice and efficient but it feels like the owner is scrimping and needs to provide a better service for the money they charge.

Very friendly and helpful staff, quick responses

Possibly the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. We had a suite with 2 bedroom, lounge and kitchenette. Plunge pool on the roof was great. Boutique vibes. Great little cafe opposite. Needed a few more plates and extra cutlery for the kitchen.

We visited in February 2024 and Majaro had a bartender and chef then that made nice scrambled egg breakfasts or other basic eats. There is new ownership now, and they no longer have the aforesaid 2 team members, so only coffee and some very simple food was offered. Carlo was very friendly and said he'd be happy to accommodate us, but we did not want to be disruptive and so went to a small diner just across the street (which had terrific food!). We did interact briefly with the new owner, who seemed to be responsive. We were initially put in a room with an outdoor shower, which did not seem to be the room that we reserved online (we had booked the same suite as our Feb 2024 stay), but fortunately, we were able to move back into that room in the second day. There was a lot of construction noise every day except Sunday, which my girlfriend did not care for; appeared that many other properties are going up nearby.

Nice building, nice rooms and decoration, clean areas. The hotel was disappointing as for breakfast and staff service. There was never nobody at tje front desk, door always open so we didn't feel very safe. Nobody welcomed us, until we met the cleaner guy and he showed us our room. They gave us a very noisy room, relight next to tbe street and in front of a noisy hotel. Breakfast was really really poor. 2 toast with Marmelade and coffe. And melon. Not a nice presentation of breakfast, we ended up carrying our own breakfast. Rooms were ok, clean but the last day they didn't even bother to make our bed. It felt like a ghost hotel with no one to ask for something.

I liked the area, and how close it was to everything With the breakfast was better. I picked the resort because they said breakfast included and the breakfast was only toast and jam.

  • Engine customer Nov 2024

Location is pretty bad, far from the beach and area is really not safe. Roads are super choppy and no lights. Was scary to walk outside of hotel in the evening. Breakfast was a scam. Property mentions full continental breakfast while in reality it only has white bread and instant cafe. I'm gluten intolerant hence I could not eat it and although I mentioned it to the property they could not care less

The beds were comfortable. The rooms were spacious. The common pool was good. The staff were friendly. The air conditioner was effective. The grounds were attractive.. The location was isolated, especially if you did not have a car,.so much so that foot access to most restaurants and other services were almost inaccessible due to lack of street lighting and road conditions. The hotel is in an undeveloped location of the city. There were no welcoming staff on our arrival. Fortunately, one of the workers showed us where our rooms were. Dark stairways and hallways had to be navigated by our phone lights, which was treacherous. There was no hot water for two days of our three day stay. In room coffee was limited to one cup of coffee per person per stay. No drinking water was supplied in the room. Although friendly, the staff were not knowledgeable about local services, ie restaurants and were not on duty after 3 pm to help us access these facilities.

Beautiful experience. Good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful host

The property is exactly as pictured. It was intimate, quiet and secure (needed an access code for the building). The hotel is in a place that is under construction, so that may be an issue for other travelers. There is small staff and while they are accommodating (thank you Vanessa!) I can see it being an issue for other guests who need more maintenance (housekeeping, maintenance, etc.

  • Engine customer Aug 2024

It was cute and a 10-15 min drive from everything. It’s very private and personable. The roads to the property were terrible. The linen was not as clean as I prefer and housekeeping did not come and clean up.

  • Engine customer Jul 2024

On arrival there was no power and no wifi so I was unable to work. The hotel was unable to confirm when there would be electricity again. I booked a suite for myself and a friend with 2 beds and was given a lower category room instead of a suite with one bed. Despite not being able to fulfill my booking which I had paid for in full for the week the hotel refused to waive the cancellation fee. Booking.com also contacted the hotel to request a waive of cancellation due to breach of contract but they refused. I had to move to another hotel nearby with electricity at my extra cost. Despite numerous messages to the hotel they refused to refund any monies.

Majaro was beautiful! It was very clean, I felt safe as a solo travel , I loved having a private pool ! The rate was very good for me. The staff was so kind ! Shoutout to Jared who really made my trip special! Juanita & Veronica were also very kind & attentive. I never received breakfast from the hotel although it says it was included with the stay. It would have been nice to have some more eatery’s in the area.. but I see it’s still being developed so I hope to see it at my next stay.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was available to choose from and varied. Big and comfortable bed Disturbed the renovation work in the adjacent building and the noise it causes. The pool was small and cold because the sun didn't reach there. There were no utensils in the kitchen, you had to ask for everything separately from the staff. The location of the hotel is far from the city necessary transport to reach the city, road to the hotel is in bad condition.

Yes, beautiful. Staff extremely helpful. The electronic keys did not work due to wifi issues so needed to ask reception for access each time. Would have like complimentary coffee in room.
