Desoto Beach Bed & Breakfast

Almost beachfront! Easy access to the ocean. The pool is a nice amenity. Innkeeper Rick provides a lovely breakfast along with a history lesson! Immediate access to the beach was closed so we had to walk a short block on the street to get to the next access point.

It is a lovely place and the Innkeeper is wonderful. The innkeeper is very knowledgeable and made us delicious breakfasts and, of course, the location is very close to the beach which is ideal. It is an older Inn and felt more like a home away from home.

Location Underwhelming! Paid a lot of money for subpar stay. Not kept up at all. Fall decor was even still out! Old tv with an okd remote.Bathroom wasn't clean. Only 2 sets of towels. Wanted a fresh coffee cup but was told there were only 6....so my cup was rinsed...in front of me...and I reused it. Breakfast was what they had at the hotel. Cooked hours early. Only got 2 pieces of bacon then the pyrex bowl was removed from the table. Maybe 2 tablespoons of eggs...Put it this way....the location was the best part!!!Definitely won't be recommending.

The property itself needs a little work. There were stains on the ceiling and it could have been a little bit cleaner (there were pee pee drops on the front of the toilet and the floor needed a good vacuuming). We had to check into the B&B from the next door hotel which seemed a little shady inside. The B&B write up claimed the it was located on the beach. It is not. You have to either walk thru an alley way or cut through the neighboring property to access the beach. The reason I rated the B&B good and not fair was because of the Inn Keeper. He was amazing!!! He’s only there in the mornings but he makes a wonderful breakfast, was extremely knowledgeable on the area and the history it contains. Without him, this is not a place I would recommend.

The 'innkeeper' was terrific, engaging in knowledge of the property and of the location. The whole room were tastefully done with rich tradition of the Bed and Breakfast. He made a great breakfast with awesome coffee! It was a much-needed diversion from the standard hotel complimentary breakfast! Would highly recommend staying at least 1 night there and prove me wrong (which you won't!).

The suite was roomy, quiet, and very comfortable. The inn keeper was exceptional. He was quiet in his work. He was very friendly, polite, and wanted to serve. He was full of knowledge about the local area and its history. The parking was kind of tight. We were glad we didn’t bring a larger vehicle.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay in the Tybee room at the DeSoto Bed and Breakfast. Check in was painless, our host Rick was phenomenal! Looking forward to getting back very soon!

We had a wonderful stay at DeSoto Bed and Breakfast Inn. The home is beautiful, charming, and filled with historic Savannah character, while still feeling warm and comfortable. A special thank you to Rick, the Innkeeper, who made our stay even more enjoyable. His hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail abd historical knowledge shared made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. The organic breakfast was majestic — truly King and Queen worthy. It was fresh, delicious, beautifully prepared, and such a lovely highlight of our stay. The location was perfect for enjoying both Savannah and Tybee Island, giving us the best of historic charm and coastal relaxation. The rooms, front and back porches were cozy, comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, and everything felt peaceful, personal, and memorable. I would highly recommend DeSoto Bed and Breakfast Inn to anyone looking for a charming, welcoming, and truly special Savannah/Tybee Island getaway.

The parking lot is small, so maybe bring a midsize or compact vehicle vs a full size crew cab truck.

Rick, the innkeeper, was a fantastic guy. He made the most amazing breakfasts! A unique, thoroughly interesting and delightful host! The location on the beach was great for morning walks and enjoying the sea air. Very quiet and peaceful location. Our room was spacious and comfortable, albeit in an older home. Nice balcony with sliders to enjoy partial views of the ocean and the breeze. The hotel and facilities associated with this B and B were clean but fairly dated, apparently like many places along the beach. Nothing upscale or resort-like. No bar or poolside amenities (not even a bathroom), but a great beachside place 2 minutes walk from here. Be prepared for stairs at the inn. They did not bother us, but some folks with mobility challenges may have problems. This is a comfortable place, but shows it's age.

The breakfast was cooked fresh every day and served by the best inn keeper ive ever had. Rick was amazing.

Whole house smelled of bacon. Balcony only faces street. View of ocean off back balcony is of a building barely 15 feet from the house. Room (Butler) was very small, bathroom was very aged.

it looked better in pictures but was still nice.. enjoyed very much our breakfast and Rick! we had a partial water view but also had a structure as our view

The breakfast was excellent, prepared with attention to healthy, fresh ingredients. The inn keeper was so very thoughtful and helpful. I can't think of anything that I didn't like about our lovely stay there.
