The staff was professional, very friendly, and genuinely caring in a warm, homely way. They were always ready to help with any request we had. The accommodation itself also offers a good kitchen and a nice variety of food options. We also had an excellent deep tissue massage right in our villa. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back again. A small tip for those looking for more privacy - if possible, ask for a villa located a bit further away from the entrance area, lobby, and restaurant.

The villa is really wonderful. The cabins are very nice, with good WiFi and good AC, free drinks, free fruit, good bed, and nice shower. The restaurant is also very good, the food was sophisticated and very tasty. The staff went above and beyond to help you with everything and were very friendly and helping planning trips and they tried to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Really one of the best places I’ve stayed ever. The access road could use some work.

Back of the room 201 is just too close to kitchen where is heavy traffic. Back of the room should be sound proof, as you could hear the dishes washing, basically everything. But the rest of the rooms are not having this small problem as they are further in the front towards pool & forest.

Such a beautiful secluded location! The staff was amazingly kind (remembered my name every time they saw me!) Eva and Titati (I don’t think I spelled it correctly) and their staff were so kind. Very beautiful and accommodating. Food at the restaurant was great! It was a little too secluded for us but everything else here was perfection!

The lodge with private pool was clean, comfortable, and extremely nice. The staff was very accommodating and helped with the scooter, massages, and guidance for places to visit. They helped with our luggage, picked us up when we were lost, and helped with planning like a late night massage and other accommodations to go above and beyond. Even outside of Ubud, they were very knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend the place to anyone who wants to be able to relax and have a great experience while at the resort. The surrounding location is not very exciting. So be ready to eat at the restaurant or find a place further away to find a restaurant.

Wonderful hotel! The room was amazing and very spacious, the outdoor shower was fantastic and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful - one morning we had to get up quite early and a take-away breakfast was prepared for us (thank you Eva!). Swimming in the warm pool under the night sky watching the stars was very relaxing experience I encourage anyone to try. Trying the hotel restaurant is a must, delicious breakfasts and fantastic dinners (I particularly enjoyed the aged beef!). Location is perfect with plenty of attraction around the Ubud - we highly recommend this place! Everything was perfect.

The value for money is outstanding. The staff truly go above and beyond — they’re always friendly, helpful, and make sure you feel taken care of. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the beautiful picture they arranged on my bed while I was out. It really shows how much they care about your experience. The food is also great, and the fact that they offer all-day breakfast is a big plus. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing, and welcoming stay. Great location in a calm and quiet zone near Ubud, confortable and design room, amazing food and above all excellent staff, they made our stay even better ! I would totally recommend for a romantic escape.

We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Unagi Wooden Villas. The best thing about our stay was the warmth and kindness shown by the staff (thanks Tuti, Yoga, both Ekas and the extended team) who were really lovely and went above and beyond to cater to our needs. They were so wonderful with our 20 month old toddler and let her feed the fish on multiple occasions. The rooms were well appointed, very charming and luxurious. Loved the indoor/outdoor bathrooms. The breakfasts were exceptional and the food from the inhouse restaurant Wajik was generally outstanding and we were happy to have all our dinners here after long days out. We would be very happy to stay here again. Keep up the excellent work! :) Nothing, we loved our stay here.

The room and the hotel in general was beautiful, everything is new and stylish. Also the gardens and the pool area is very relaxing and nice to see. The staff is extremely polite and helpful and always willing to do their best to serve the customers. From the second night a lizard came into the room and it constantly pooped on the bed and on the floor and it also made noises during the night. The staff was always there to clean and try to find the lizard but they didn't make it. They also offered as a new room, but unfortunately there was also a lizard in that room. So, we didn't get the chance to sleep for a whole night in the duration of our stay. Regarding the breakfast, it looks really good but unfortunately it has no taste, and we tried almost every dish.

It was a sensational experience. The team at Unagi are so lovely, helpful and thoughtful. All the staff made our experience great! We were only there for one night but would definitely stay for longer next time. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The food at the restaurant was exceptional.

Helpful staff, they treat you like family. They didn’t find a solution about an animal (bird or gecko) poop on the bed everyday. They did their best but 6 day in row we got 6 poop shots on the bed everyday. Funny and sad at the same time:)

1. The villa rooms and public areas are very beautiful, and I really like the semi-open shower space. The overall ambiance is refreshing and uplifting. 2. The hotel offers many interesting and free activities. 3. The staff is very enthusiastic, with a friendly attitude, and they remember the guests. 4. I really enjoyed the hotel’s free photography service. 1. The check-in time for the villa is after 2:00 PM. When we arrived around 3:00-4:00 PM, the staff said that the room was not ready yet. 2. The closet in the room had a foul odor, similar to foot odor. After informing the staff, they said it was taken care of, but later I realized it might have been the smell of the pajamas, so there was still an unpleasant odor. 3. A friend who was traveling with me took a longer hot shower and found that the water wasn’t hot enough. Even after waiting and restarting the water heater, it was still the same. When we asked the staff, they suggested waiting for it to restart, which seemed to be due to the electric water heater being used, so it couldn’t provide hot water for long showers. 4. We stayed for two consecutive nights and expected that the room would be cleaned, with fresh towels and hand towels provided. However, this didn’t happen, and we had to remind the staff by hotel’s phone. 5. The villa is located in a rather remote area, and the Grab drivers often get lost. We had to ask the staff to communicate directions. 6. We booked an in-room massage service, but when we checked out, if we didn’t pay by card, we had to pay in cash and be prepared that they couldn’t provide change. 7. The last morning when I ordered breakfast, it seemed like one of the local Balinese dishes was missing from my meal. Since I wasn’t very clear on the dish’s name, I only realized later, after asking my friend about the breakfast menu, that I hadn’t had that particular dish. 8. The showerhead in the bathtub was broken and completely unusable. 9. There was a spider on the bath foam bottle.

Our stay at Unagi Wooden Villas was truly special, and the exceptional hospitality of the staff made all the difference. A huge thank you to Eva, Eka, Voga, and Tuti for their kindness and dedication. We stayed in a villa with a private pool, which we highly recommend for those seeking privacy and relaxation. The courtyard and terrace create the perfect setting to unwind after exploring. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the semi-open shower with its own tropical garden was a unique touch that made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and varied, with plenty of authentic Balinese flavors, and the dinner menu offered great options for those who prefer to dine at the resort. While the location is 35 to 40 minutes from Ubud, it offers a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle. If you’re looking for a secluded and comfortable retreat with outstanding service, this is the place to be. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing jungle view from the room as well as from the swimming pool. Room with bathroom is extremely clean and cozy. The surrounding of the hotel is quiet and beautiful. Hotel is providing many services like massage, motorbike rental, tours, taxi service. Also food in the hotel restaurant is quite good.
