Our stay at The Alena Resort was nothing short of extraordinary and, without question, the best resort experience we've ever had. We chose The Alena to celebrate my 40th birthday, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, every member of the staff welcomed us like family with genuine warmth, kindness, and impeccable hospitality. Our Royal Villa was absolutely breathtaking, luxurious, beautifully designed, incredibly private, and the perfect place to relax and reconnect. The cuisine was exceptional, with every meal beautifully prepared and full of flavor, and breakfast quickly became our favorite part of the day. The gym was modern and equipped with everything you could need, and the spa was truly world-class—an easy 10/10. Every detail throughout the resort reflected excellence and genuine care. A very special thank you to Dessi, our personal butler, who was simply incredible. She went above and beyond every single day with her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine desire to make our stay perfect. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made us feel so cared for throughout our visit. Dessi, along with the entire Alena team, created memories that my wife and I will cherish forever. If you're looking for luxury, privacy, incredible food, exceptional amenities, and hospitality that comes straight from the heart, look no further. Absolutely nothing. Everything exceeded our expectations. If we had one complaint, it would be that our stay wasn't long enough! We cannot wait to return.

What a lovely place! Everything was excellent. Beautiful villa your own terrace. Delicious breakfast with the salmon, exotic fruits, fresh juices, tasty coffee and bakery. Just the paradise.

From the moment we booked, the hospitality was exceptional. The team took note of our arrival and departure flight details and arranged seamless airport transfers. We especially appreciated that the drivers sent their photos beforehand, which made meeting them at the airport easy and reassuring. I have a seafood allergy, and I was impressed by how seriously the team took it. The information was communicated not only to the front desk but also to the restaurant staff, and they consistently ensured that all my meals were safe and allergen-free. We were also celebrating a special occasion, and the team went above and beyond to make it memorable. We were surprised with a flower bath, birthday greetings, songs, cake, a beautiful bouquet, and even a thoughtful gift before we left. It was the perfect way to start our celebrations and created memories we will never forget. The food was excellent, the rooms were beautiful, and the housekeeping team was incredibly proactive, ensuring our room was refreshed and ready while we enjoyed breakfast each morning. What truly sets this resort apart is the people. Even after we checked out, the manager personally messaged us to thank us for our stay. It's rare to experience such genuine warmth and care. Breakfast was amazing and we were able to have it on our wonderful balcony. The staff were the friendliest, happiest people we met on our trip. They laughed at all of my jokes, which is a real test for any human. The food was also excellent, we really enjoyed the barbeque evening with the excellent singer from Sumatra. The manager Mr Dewa could not do enough for us. There is no real soundproofing between the 1st floor suites due to the traditionl wooden roof construction. We could hear our neighbours kids being unruly at midnight. I don't expect the ground floor suites would have the same issue, but they don't have the view or same privacy. The management spoke to the guests but they were unable to manage their children. We were offered an alternative luxury suite, but we declined. The staff were so nice and super apologetic regarding the situation.

Mr Dewa and his team were exceptional. Property is at best in Ambience, service and hospitality of its guests. None

The best thing about this property is the staff. They were very courteous and had your best interest in mind. Although when we stayed there were new staff that couldn’t really understand what we were asking (language barrier) . But the staff who served us in our room were a breath of fresh air. very pretty smiles, really made our day. Our flight was arriving at midnight so we got to the hotel at 2or 3 am. They welcomed us with food and even gave us a special breakfast the next morning . they also made an effort to surprise our grandma (nanny) with a bouquet of flowers and cake on her bday. plus they arranged the bed with flower petals that said Happy Bday . So sweet. The place is tranquil, peaceful and really relaxing if you want to just stay in the resort. It’s just sad that we were not really able to enjoy the resort since we had different tours/activities daily. i suggest this place for people who want a good place where they can just lounge and swim in the pool. oh ! i also love how healthy their bfast is and it was so pretty! the room i booked was for honeymooners i think as there are no doors in the bathroom. This was not ideal for my grandma nanny who was very conservative. Also, it was dimly lit, (very romantic) which is also not my preference. it was ok in the morning as we had a porch that brought in the light. but the light in the evening was not ideal for me.

Staff were so lovely and helpful. The room was delightful and the shower was the best I had in my trip to Indonesia! Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were delicious. It was also my birthday whilst i was there and the brought out cake and flowers which was very sweet! Highly recommend if staying in ubud.
