Bliss Ubud Abangan

Bliss is exactly that-BLISS. It is intimate, very comfortable and in a great location for central Ubud. We loved many aspects- the great verandah, where breakfast was served each morning, where you could sit and relax, the fantastic bath! The pool though small, is very refreshing and set in a beautiful garden. The main street of Ubud is just metres away, but the little laneways surrounding Bliss are delightful and take you to less busy areas. The staff are friendly and do everything they can to make your stay comfortable and easy. We would book Bliss again with no hesitation. This was our first ever stay in Ubud and we now understand why it is so popular.

I want to share my experience so future guests can be careful. During my stay, while I was attending a yoga session, two credit cards disappeared from my wallet, which I had left inside my hotel room. I am not accusing any specific person, but the fact is that my cards went missing while my belongings were in my room. What concerns me even more is the lack of security measures. There are no cameras available to verify what happened, and the entrance is easily accessible. When I raised this serious concern with the hotel, instead of feeling supported as a guest, I was told: “Please feel free to report the matter to the police, as the hotel has certainly followed all proper procedures; however, if you lack evidence, we are concerned that you might be filing a false report.” I found this response extremely disappointing. Reporting that personal belongings went missing is not the same as making a false accusation. As a guest, I expected concern, assistance, and a willingness to investigate. I hope this helps future guests to be extra careful with their valuables.

Excellent location within the city. Comfortable room. They bring you breakfast every morning that you eat on your own balcony or deck. Good AC. Hotel was interestingly tucked away down an alley which made it extremely quiet and charming, but very hard to find initially, and quite a ways to drag your luggage since only motorbikes/scooters can go down the alleys. Since it's hard to find by car with a GPS, tell driver to drop you off at the top of the steep drive by the Lazy Cat Cafe.

"There is no access for four-wheelers. Walking is the only way to reach the hotel.

The bathroom was nice and spacious, was nice to have both bathtub and stand up shower, both very big. The water pressure and heat was perfect. The staff was very very kind and attentive, called to my room and offered breakfast, brought and set up for me on the balcony. The location is generally good, the only down side is it being up a step hill and around the small walkway-this made me nervous taking bikes in the rain it’s very slippery. Almost zero construction noise tho, very relaxing. Bed and pillows comfy and clean! Minutes the termites eating away at the tv stand in my room, found them all dead and swarmed on my luggage near by, because Ubud is more jungle there’s plenty of critters and geckos. Lots of ants and bugs. It’s generally clean but it I wished there was more detail to the clean seems like they swept the room onto the balcony and left the dirt and hair in corners and crannies.

Just booked Bliss Ubud Abangan for my friends and they loved it. Peaceful location near everything. Cozy rooms, beautiful pool and truly kind staff. They even adjusted meals for my friend who had a special diet after Bali belly. Warm, thoughtful and authentic place.

Tucked into a quiet corner about 2 mins walk from the hustle of the Main Street of Ubud, Bliss is an oasis of calm. Clean, comfortable and well appointed room, overlooking a tranquil courtyard with a pool. Excellent breakfast and team. Because the rooms are all around the courtyard you wake up when everyone else does.

Fantastic location ? if you are looking for a quite place to stay in tye main city of ubud this is your place. I had a good stay Room smelt like moldy. My rob was an only one everyone else seemed to have the updated ones.
