Suwar Bungalows

I totally loved the place. Mr. Ketut and family are super friendly and welcoming. Ketut broght me a lot of fruits from ceremony, so kind. Location just the top. Bintang supermarket in 1 minute walk. Narrow parking for bike on the left side behind market complex and another parking is in Penestanan area. I received another room, not with one bed, but with two beds, that room was rented to long term stayer, just be informed. Top location, quiet environment, 3 sweet dogs, cozy friendly atmosphere. Comfort bed, bathtub with hot water, wifi. Penestanan is a village in jungles full of cafes. Calm and beautiful. Ideal for short budget stay.

The owner was so gentle, the whole family was nice and welcoming. The place is not facing the main road, and so it’s very peaceful. But at the same time is very close to a supermarket and it’s easy to reach Ubud centre, that it’s only 5 min by car or scooter. We really enjoyed our stay at Suwar Bungalows.

Family stay who were very welcoming and helpful, and met all my needs No mosquito screens in the bathroom but I used incense when showering which worked perfectly

Beautiful view, spacious rooms, bath tub

Great area - not a busy as most of Ubud. Strong shower which is great if you have long hair. Property is next to a water facility so it was never quiet which was the main thing I wished for with my trip. Kitchen wasn’t clean and once there was a big rat on the clean plates. Room was only cleaned once a week which wasn’t sufficient seeing it was rainy season and dirt inevitably got in. Staff don’t speak English which made some things difficult, especially when I needed help. Fan made barely any difference to the room temperature and since the shower didn’t have cold water I struggled with that. It was also pretty impossible to shower without the whole bathroom getting wet. Lastly, there was no pretty swan towels as in the pictures which I had been looking forward to.

There wasn’t water for refilling our bottles, there was one place for doing it for some coins like 150 meters from the property tough. It wasn’t easy to find the location when we arrived a bit late at night

Great location with beautiful view. Rooms are very spacious. Owner so friendly and really kind!!! Sorry about the change and thank you so much for being flexible with me. Terima kasih?? Not very clean, it was quite dusty and smelled a bit moldy when I first came in, I understand the room is old and its located in the nature probably hard to keep it super clean all the time but it definitely needs some more care to it.

Great quiet location within walking distance of yoga studios, cafés and the supermarket.

The room is huge and Ketut is really nice.

Perfect location, you can access the property just by walking for 150-200m so that makes it quiet... nice rooms, with kettle and a little kitchen you can use... quiet family owning the place, very relaxed. Situated in an area of Ubud I really like. Many nice shops and restaurants by walking distance

It was close to where I attended the event, so I just need to walk. It's convenience place, very short walking distance to a big supermarket and a variety of places to eat Too close to an alley, so sometimes if the passerby are talking, I can heard it

Big room, big bathroom, lovely view, good location and good value Shower was uncomfortable to shower in, far too low and the bathtub it's over was pretty awkward.

Clean, small remote guest house. loved it!

Clean, spacious, affordable, incredibly kind hosts, small communal kitchen/fridge, good wifi, jungle views, quiet except for birds and a running stream. There’s even a bathtub! No on-site parking — you enter via a short footpath which is like entering a quieter world. And yet, if you desire, there’s a large supermarket, ATMs, cafes, and restaurants all minutes by foot away.
