We had a wonderful time at Ranthari Hotel and Spa Maldives. Everything about our stay was super, from the comfortable setting to the great atmosphere. A special thanks to all the staff members—everyone was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. Highly recommended for a relaxed and memorable getaway in the Maldives!

The selection of the breakfast is poor.

Breakfast was very good each morning, with fresh options and plenty to start the day. The staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. Ukulhas itself is a fantastic island — it strikes a great balance between tourism and authentic local life. It feels welcoming without being overwhelming, and the locals genuinely seem to want visitors to enjoy their island. Overall, this is a well-run hotel in one of the best locations on the island. We would definitely stay here again. The rooftop pool is a great feature, especially at sunset. The only suggestion for improvement would be adding some shaded areas, as it’s difficult to enjoy during the daytime without protection from the sun.

The location is great. Staff and Managers are helpful. The restaurant is good, but the menu is small. If one informs about dietary restrictions, kitchen staff will do their best. The swimming pool is good. Free towels for the beach and sunbeds. Snorkeling equipment is free. Staff will book and prepay speed boats to and from the island. As it is an island where local lives there are a lot of staff to explore and the city has a medical center. Trees are making great Shadow from the sun in the beach area. Split swimsuits are okay on the beach and swimming areas, but you beed to put your clothes on when you are leaving it. The service is awesome. The room had issues, but everything was fixed when the manager was told. Water is not that deep to swim, you need to go around a bit to get some depth not to cut your self on with rocks (it is not hotel issue, just FYI) Another FYI, the whole Island is a construction site: hotels, road are being built now. But they are not that disturbing, just will mess up your perfect Instagram photos of the island. If you are not into fishing or hardcore snorkeling it can be boring after 4-5 days. The beach needs a shower and stairs. There are no light switches near the bed.

Great location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, delicious food at every meal and amazing, relaxed atmosphere which made us feel like at home ? The WiFi was very slow and difficult to locate, but it’s only a detail ?

The location was perfect, several steps away from the beach. 1. I booked a room with balcony and sea view, and asked the hotel if I could get a room with better view two days beforehand, they did not reject me. I ended up getting a palm tree view room. Therefore, I kindly asked the receptionist if I could get a room on a higher level, he said, “oh sorry we cannot cut the palm trees.” Am I asking you to cut the trees? I just wanted to know what happened since I already expressed my need for the view DAYS before I checked in. 2. My bed sheet was dirty.

The view was unbelievably gorgeous. I booked this hotel because of the view - and it was just the way it's on photos here. The breakfast was delicious. The stuff was very helpful and nice. I definitely recommend this hotel for a long or short staying. The bikini beach was just in front of the hotel. Also the hotel has some private area on the beach where you can sit or lay down. The only disappointment was the reconstruction going on all over the island and the noise and inconvenience it makes. But the hotel has nothing to do with it, its just general mood on the island. For me everything was great.

I came with my mum for her birthday and the staff were so lovely and helpful to us. This is definitely the best place to stay on the island at the moment. The food was delicious, and the buffet breakfast was great. The private bit of beach is amazing. The free snorkels were a lovely touch as well because the reef is amazing. The website and booking.com said this place had a gym but it doesn't, it wasn't a huge problem and the lovely man in reception offered to get me some weights but just worth knowing!

We love everything, for breakfast a bit rest choice but is the local island I suppose.

location, super friendly hotel stuff, everything was good. Don't expect the extravagance of five-star, overpriced resorts. If you appreciate crystal-clear waters of the Maldives, white sandy not crowded beaches, friendly hotel stuff and locals, cozy rooms, it's definitely worth the price. everything was good

I want to mention the excelent staff (Rezaul, Musthapa, Sohel, Lakshan, Mahinda and the gus from the kitchen)

If the toilet for bath is fully cover will be perfect .

The location was good and the staff was helpful and friendly. Free snorkelling equipment provided. Rooftop pool ok. The cleanliness level was not up to expected standard, the curtains were dirty and mouldy and that was present in two different rooms we have stayed in. I have also overheard the guest complaining about the mould on the wall and the staff member responded with ‘ do you want me to send someone to paint it’ . The owner of the property was overbearing - did not provide a very good level of customer service. This is not a reflection on the staff who were okay. Breakfast selection was limited and only back Americano or espresso was free - milk was a chargeable extra! The room that we booked was a sea view with balcony however it was palm tree view with barely any sea visible. The balcony was ridiculously small. We felt claustrophobic and ended up paying more for an upgrade.

Exceptional

The beach right in front of the hotel is stunning, with excellent snorkeling. The beach on the other side of the island, just a few minutes walk away, is beautiful as well. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the food, especially lunches on the beach. No fridge in the room, and the beds could be more comfortable. Some breakfast items, like yogurt, would be better served cold. There is construction happening across the whole island, but it wasn’t too disruptive.

I really really liked the hotel staff. They were the best. So helpful and smiling and providing excellent service in all aspects. Especially Rezaul, who arranged excellent excursions with short notice and flexibility to provide just what we wanted of combined snorkel-spots, even providing breakfast to go on the excursions if we couldn’t get back in time for the breakfast on the hotel. Also a very very big thanks to Mahinda, who always were so friendly and smiling and finding time to talk now and then. The atmosphere in the hotel is just nice. The room clean and spacious with everything working. The Beach outside the hotel is also very good and it is real nice with the shaded spots and sunbeds. The food was also good. All in all just our full recommendations and Big High five to the Ranthari hotel and the staff.

Our vacation was a dream!!! They welcomed us as soon as we arrived on the island..they explained to us everything there is to see on the island...so welcoming and hospitable people rarely!! I booked with everything meals included.. breakfast was a buffet and lunch and dinner a la carte!!! Delicious food... they also have kids menu..I don't regret for a second that I booked this way.. beach towels and snorkeling equipment can be borrowed from the hotel ..they have sunbeds free of charge, you just have to bring them back to the place! The room is ok, with a beautiful view of the sea, hangers, hair dryer, shower gel, shampoo, safe, there isnt a fridge but it does not appear in the room details, the air conditioning works very well you also have a fan, netflix, shower ok.. the bikini beach right in front of the hotel you can snorkel close to the shore.. we saw a reef shark, a nurse shark, a large variety of fish. We want to thank the entire staff for their seriousness, kindness and promptness!!! This is how all tourists should be treated in other parts of the world!!! The best in tourism that I have met!!Coming back next year with our daughtes for sure!!!♥️ The only think i didnt like that you cant smoke in the balcony

A small hotel in a fantastic location, right next to Bikini Beach. The best spot on the island, offering stunning sea views. Sun loungers on the beach and friendly staff. Special mention to the manager, Mustafa, who is a truly kind-hearted person and knows how to enhance the holiday experience. The rooms are extremely small, and while the sea-view balcony offers a nice view, it is so tiny that it’s practically impossible to sit on. The property itself is simple, but the surroundings feel like a construction site—if this were in Europe, movement around the hotel would likely be restricted. The rooftop pool is unusable and dirty, and the breakfast is very basic. The price is relatively high for the limited amenities offered.
