nice american-style hotel, good breakfast

Room detail was misleading, indicating that additional bed would be available, but was a sofa bed when made into a bed left no room. It made me unsafe for emergency evacuation.

The room was dirty, cobwebs were everywhere. The overpriced breakfast was not very good. Many of the guests were extremely rude, surprising coming from Japanese society.

- Absolutely incredible service, that's hard to find in hotels these days. Everyone in the lobby made me feel very important and valued. - Classical music and chandeliers in the lobby were a nice touch - Lovely view out of my room, which was a good size - There were no washing machines or dryers available for guest use, just an expensive laundry service - I think the breakfast was a little expensive for what was available - The steak rice box was a bit too much rice and not enough steak (thinner slices than shown in the picture)

within walking distance to food/temple spacious room good breakfast staff not so friendly - my wife was fumbling with self check-in process, but nobody came to assist.

Central heating was far too hot and stuffy. There wasn't a way to cool the room except by opening a window.

Clean and staff was cooperative

i was only staying for 1 night so i booked the cheapeast room available on the site. Very Big Rooms . exceptional value for money. extremley good breakfast . very good location about 10.minute walk from the central train station and with many places to eat and drink within walking distance . one of the very few hotels in Japan that I've stayed in that allowed me to check in before check in time without charging me extra. very friendly staff members . highly recommended. if i had to say something bad the bath room (tub) has a little bit old. apart from that nothing else to point out.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tobu Hotel Grande; the location is perfect and staff is very nice. The hotel itself is a bit old but it definitely has not lost its charm. Accommodation and amenities are the top notch, we did not get a chance for the breakfast or restaurant but I am sure the food would be great there as well. Will stay again if in Utsunomia next time.

Clean, well equipped, nice staff who are able to communicate with English. Parking is very expensive at ¥1800 per day.

Bus stop to the station just outside of the hotel. It’s not a bad thing, but I wish the air condition worked. Maybe because it’s autumn it only had warm air and even if you turned up the fan speed, you barely felt it. But that’s just me; I’m from Canada so I prefer to be cold.

Variety of food for breakfast. The building is a bit old and parking is underground parking.

The hotel is in the middle of the city, near 7-11, Lawson, FamilyMart. The breakfast is delicious.

The location was nice and close to a variety of restaurants and shops. The staff were very friendly and some even spoke English, so that was wonderful. The lobby is beautiful when you enter. There are several bus stops nearby, too, so you could go to the station easily. The underground parking was narrow and a little difficult to understand. There are only 2 elevators, and only one of them goes down to the underground parking. There’s a parking fee of ¥1800 when you check out. The breakfast option was also rather expensive, so we didn’t eat there.

The room size is more spacious than others business hotel I use to stay. The location is exceptional. The staff is polite and professional also fluent in english. The in-room refrigerator was not cold at all, it feel like 20c degree box. Take some time for air-condition to cool, about 3 hours.

Air conditioner is not installed room by room. Hotel use central air conditioner for all rooms and customers can adjust by heater.

Very nice and clean hotel. Staff were nice and helpful too.
