One Shot Colón

The location is fantastic. You can walk to many arras within minutes and all public transport is very close. The reception staff were friendly, the shower in bedroom was good. The service staff at breakfast were not friendly, empty tables weren’t cleared. Breakfast is not worth it. Tiny place with very limited food options. Bedrooms are small and lighting is not enough. Room was clean when I checked in, air conditioning is good. The rooms could have a kettle and tea/coffee. The most surprising thing is that I stayed for 5 nights and the automatic entrance door was not fixed from day 1 till my check out. When I asked why they didnt fix it, I was told that the head quarters is in Madrid and they must wait for their authorization which I think is ridiculous. When I read through the reviews I saw that people had made the same comment months ago!

Location, most of the staff was nice, comfortable bed No ice anywhere. I make an ice pack for my shoulder and we were told there was none in the building.

Location and room size. Really noisy. You could hear next door guest coughing!

The location was excellent, right in the Old Town and within a short walking distance of Colón subway station. The location is a real strength, as it’s relatively close to all the main attractions and surrounded by many shops. The room was more spacious than I expected, and the facilities were neatly maintained. The bathroom and shower were quite good, with strong water flow. I didn’t have breakfast here, as I opted for the Starbucks right opposite. The staff were all good. However, one noteworthy staff member is Consuelo. She was very welcoming and kind, and she explained the layout of the city in a friendly and warm manner. She’s an invaluable member of the team and easily stands out. I noticed she was the only reception member who consistently greeted guests coming and going, which shows her professional conduct. Sometimes I could hear the elevator, but the sound seemed to come and go.

No complaints.

The room was very noisy, we were forced to change it.

Breakfast and coffee were not explained on check in. No lobby really. Elevators and corridors are very dated and old.

Not very easy to find

The front desk is situated near the hotel entrance. The front doors do not open automatically and they don’t open with your key card. Instead, the clerk at the desk opens the door for anyone who wants to enter. This did not cause any issues- the desk was always staffed and there were no delays when we wanted to enter the hotel. I understand it does provide great security but it still felt a little odd to rely on staff in order to gain entry.

Bed very comfortable. Great location. Lots of places to eat and shop. Close to many of the major sights. Lots of storage in the room. Good shower. Nice breakfast. Moving from far side of bed to door or bathroom, limited space

Room was great - large and with a kind of sophisticated design. Nice bathroom with a great shower. And great location, on the main retail street and close to the old town. No lobby at all but didn't bother me.

I was given a room on the 5th floor, yet the elevator was not working. This major inconvenience was never communicated to me beforehand. Instead, I kept receiving reminders about payment, but no notification about the fact that I would have to walk up and down five flights of stairs multiple times a day. Had I known the lift was not functioning, I would not have booked this hotel. It is simply unacceptable and ridiculous to expect guests to climb five floors every time. This has caused unnecessary inconvenience and frustration throughout my stay. As a frequent traveler and Level 3 member on Booking.com, I expect a certain standard of service — which was clearly not met. I am requesting compensation in the form of a partial refund on my booking. If this is not resolved promptly, I will be forced to escalate the matter through Booking.com and leave an honest review reflecting my experience. I expect your immediate attention and a swift resolution.

location, comfortable and the price. lift was not working from ground level

The room was nice, practical, comfortable and clean, AC was working perfectly. The staff was so kind and welcoming. I asked for an electric kettle in the room, the blond lady at the reception was kind enough to offer one immediately with a mug. Giving it a gold star for the location, it was near everything you could ever need ( shopping, supermarkets, restaurants, bus station, metro station, pharmacy, ciutat vella and all the places one would want to visit). The breakfast was a bit lacking, the options were very limited especially for someone who eats Halal food only. I think it needed variety and more options.

Breakfast was okay. I was a bit confused about the placement of things at first (salt & pepper) but I eventually figured it out. That is also something they should consider including. Location was VERY convenient, right on the Main Street, I was able to get to all of the streets that I wanted seamlessly. The hotel needs a gym and the elevator broke down on my last day so that should be looked at. There was also a slight smell in the room. There was 2 separate smells, one coming from the toilet and one that existed in the room in general that smelled a bit like sweat.
