No cooling in the room, just a fan. Very small room (cell), part of the experience though.

Central location in Västervik . Large free parking lot. Electric vehicle charging on the parking lot next to the hotel. Well equipped and nice kitchen with lots of fridge space for visitors. Great breakfast in the morning. Clean and comfortable rooms. Very nice and friendly staff. Not a bad thing but something to be aware of, the “cell” rooms are tiny (which is clearly stated in the description on the hotels website). it’s hard to move around inside and there isn’t any room to store clothes etc. no blackout blinds so it may be hard to sleep during summer.

It was very nice with good location. Nothing really.

To stay in a former prison is an interresting experience. I took one of the smallest "cells" and it was more than OK. Not much space but enough. Well equipped bathroom with shower. With a big sense of humour the management presents the "former prison". Thick concrete walls make sure your are not disturbed by your neighbours. Friendly personell in the reception. Walking distance to the city centre of Västervik where you find a lot of nice restaurants. Excellent breakfast.

The location was very good - a lovely town. It was a novelty staying in a former prison. Great value for the money - the room was comfortable (we stayed in a room, not a cell), the breakfast was totally adequate. Just a short walk to the centre of the town and a selection of restaurants. We would certainly come back for another visit. Nothing to complain about.

Breakfast bar was beyond amazing. Everything perfectly cooked, presented and tasty! My single cell was (as would be suspected of an ex-prison cell, mind you!) slightly smaller than I was comfortable with to be honest. I enjoy a bit of yoga in the morning and that was not physically possible unfortunately.

Location is super and the breakfast is awesome! There is no space in the room (cell) to place a bag so you trip over it in the night. It would be nice to have a little ventilation in the room and possibility to adjust the temperature.

Generous, very nice, child friendly and service oriented staff that made you feel very welcome from beginning to end of stay. Great breakfast and interesting environment that the kids found exciting.

It is a PRISON, giving service of a hotel !!! All in all, rooms are clean, breakfast ok, location central. But you are nowhere informed that it is PRISON!

This historically themed hotel is both nicely decorated, according to the former function of the building as a prison and clean - sustainable. The staff is friendly and really keen on informing their guests of their hotel's past. The breakfast was tasty and with a large variety of fresh food. The boutique they maintain in the reception hall is offering interesting niche products at a good price. Another unique aspect of this hotel was the small exhibition room that shows how a prisoner's cell looked like in the past. The location is also one of the advantages that this hotel offers, because it is close to all the points of interest for culture, shopping and food.
