Hotel Giardinetto

Stayed a couple of years ago and really enjoyed... the breakfast and location are great! Room not so this time Room was pretty cramped - I double checked we had the correct room as we booked the slightly larger "Classic Double". Disappointingly the full length wardrobe mirror was cracked in two places and stuck together with sellotape, the door edging to the bathroom was literally falling off the wall and the bathroom mirror was delaminated in the centre... it just gave the impression overall of not being cared for (see pics below). Worst hotel room on our 6 week Italian trip this time. Reception staff a little indifferent in our view when pointed these things out

Location just across the transpo starions. No elevator . Concierge should be abailable during stated hours.

The location of the hotel is in front of the boat station and is very easy to reach the city. I liked the fact that the hotel was small and quiet. The view from our room (although small), worth all the inconvenience. The bed was very comfortable and big enough for 2 persons (this was one of my fears: that the bed is too small). The breakfast was good and they even offered me products without gluten. Because of the small space in the room, the desk could be replaced with something smaller or shelves for the clothes. Or nothing, for a better use of the space.

Caution : They don’t provide AC though they listed it in their property. This is not right with your guests.

Perfect location to get to Venice. Boat stands right out front with a direct boat to airport. Wonderful location for the main part of town with plenty of restaurants. 10 minute walk to the beach. Very laid back in early June.

Amazing friendly staff, superb clean and great breakfast. Rooms could be a bit loud from the restaurant downstairs if you had the window open, and bathrooms were compact.

The room was called small. However, nothing could have prepared us for how small it was.There was only room for one bed (a little bigger than tween but smaller than queen size) and it was on one size touching the wall. The air-conditioning did not work. We could not open the windows because of mosquitos. And we also found a cockroach. Finally, the bread at breakfast was the worst I have ever had.

Great location, friendly staff and nice breakfast. Room was freezing when I entered after midnight. Wasn’t able to switch on the heater, had a cold night. Found the room to be rather small in relation to the price.

The room was clean, spacious with ensuite shower room. It was a bit dark in the shower and could do with a bit more lighting but the shower quality was more than adequate. Rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels and a large bottle of water every day. There is a free safe in the room. Breakfast was basic but again adequate. Freshly made rustic scramble eggs were delicious and there were a selection of cheeses, meats toast and jam etc. Staff were very friendly and also very helpful. I would thoroughly recommend the private water taxi to and from the airport. It was amazing. felt like James Bond coming into town and it dropped us off outside our hotel. I thought it was a bit pricey at £200 a night
