Rio Hotel

The location was excellent, just a few minutes walk from St Marks Sq and other central attractions. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. To be clear, this is a two star hotel, not the Marriott but it offers excellent value for money, especially compared to other central Venice, hotels. It is clean and safe, and yes, just a small room but if you are just there for one or two nights, it is more than adequate.

Bidet & good size shower Small space, fridge didn’t work - just took up precious space, glass wall/divider got in the way with no purpose, no kitchen, loud & bright (no blinds, nor view)

Loved the location. So close to St. Mark's. We easily walked there in a few minutes. The room was small but it's Venice and that's normal. We mostly slept there. The AC was welcome in the June heat. The brrakfast was good. Reception always friendly. Room was very clean. The bathroom was small; a very large person would have trouble sitting on the toilet because of its location next to the shower. We stayed in the annex and it was super quiet! Venice plumbing can smell weird sometimes, and you could smell it after a shower. But I believe this is normal for Venice. We still loved the room.

Location 1. Air conditioning was broken during our 2 night stay. A technician was arriving the day we left to fix it. Lot of good that did us. 2. Also, we reserved 2 rooms (one for us and one for teenage granddaughters. Nothing was said until we checked in that our older granddaughter would be in a separate BUILDING from us!!! She just turned 18 which I assume that the hotel assumed was an adult. NOT THEIR DECISION TO MAKE!

Location Dirty walls. Small rooms.

The location of this hotel is PERFECT. It is right by St. Mark's square and the main channel. It is easy to get anywhere from here. We loved our room. It was small but private and clean, and all you need in a room. I would book this hotel any time I come back to Venice without any hesitation. It was great. We liked everything!

Location was perfect! 5 min relatively easy flat walk from the ferry dock. Stayed on the top floor in the annex behind. The accommodation we picked had two beds in separate rooms and the bathroom is located in one of the rooms. It was quiet and very clean. Front desk was helpful and kind. Beds were very comfy.

Excellent location, clean room, nice receptionist. Heating the room with the air conditioner is not such a good idea for Venice in November. The room and especially the bathroom are really small.

The location was very central, close to the dock for the waterbus and easier to go to the main attractions. The room itself is very clean and we truly had the best sleep there Nothing - sad to leave !

Check in was smooth with friendly staff. Allowed us to move into our rooms early as the rooms had been cleaned and was available. We were then able to explore and enjoy the City. The hotel is centrally located in a great area of historic area of Venice. Thank you! No complaints, everything was wonderful, Thank You

Great location a few blocks from Piazza San Marco. Very friendly and courteous staff. Rooms are small but nice, clean and comfortable. Beds (and even the sofa bed) were comfortable. Great value. Nothing

We LOVE hotelrio. For the location and cost you can not get better. The staff particolare Jeffery are exceptional. The rooms are small, clean, well appointes and comfortable. Take the traghetto to Piazza s Marco from the train station to get there easier- google Maps was not helpful. Nothing
