Comfy bed, fabulous bathroom, great towels. Responsive and not noisy A/C. Great hot water supply. The lobby is hideous and needs updating to match the rooms. Red velvet and zebra stripes? It's a classy hotel, great location. The breakfast was meh in the roll/toast department. I know Venice is expensive, but it's a bit steep at 70E for two people. I had a hard-boiled egg, a tangerine, and a double espresso.

The experience was extremely disappointing. At check-in, I clearly explained that I had mistakenly booked two rooms. The staff member reassured me that everything was “okay” and that the extra room had been cancelled/handled, which I trusted. However, 5 days after leaving the hotel, I was charged for the second room as a “no-show”, without any prior warning or confirmation. This is very misleading. I relied on what I was told by the staff, yet I was still charged days later. Additionally, my card was charged without any prior notification after my stay, which raises serious concerns about how my payment details were used. This raises serious concerns about transparency and trust.

The room was okay despite repeated assurance that it is on the way, it been three month and we still havent got our deposit returned.

Rooms were very spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Dev in the bar area was exceptional...so nice and attentive. Late at night there was quite a bit of street noise from my windows.

At StarHotels they ask you at the end of your stay if you would like to add an optional tip for the staff. Obviously when they ask you in that manner it is impossible to refuse. Thus the rates are actually higher! This is somewhat of a scam. Bar staff was not as good as the rest of the staff.
