Hotel Gorizia A La Valigia

Excellent location! It was in the middle of everything!! Easy transport to surrounding places either on foot or using the nearby vaporettes. Very good breakfast. The room had a Venetian touch with tapestry made with actual cloth. An extra bonus for the cool story behind the name (Gorizia from Gorica the town) and the famous suitcase (Valigia) which was handpainted and also complemented the name of the hotel! It is a pretty old establishment but it is well renovated and probably what someone should expect in a city like Venice. So, nothing I didn't like really!

The location is great, you can walk to many places . The room was super small, I never expect huge rooms in Europe but this one was particularly small. Good thing we were there just for one night but in addition to being small it was hot and there was no way to get the AC lower. I have to say it was spotless. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

Excellent location. Close to many shops and restaurants and more importantly, the gondola location! Bed was hard

* The hotel facilities were excellent, and the room was very spacious, comfortable, and filled with natural light thanks to its many windows. * The breakfast was varied and tasty, with a good selection of options. * The staff were polite, friendly, and always willing to help. * The location is outstanding, just a short walk from St. Mark’s Square, Venice’s most iconic landmark, and close to the Rialto Bridge, making it easy to explore the city on foot. Nothing to complain about.

The location could not be better located to all the main attractions and easy to get to! The beds were hard and could've been better. That is the only reason I didn't give it a 10 score!

The breakfast is plenty of choice . Eggs, ham bread and fruit. The hotel send us details on how to get there, it’s a big help.

Great location and very quiet at night. Room was very comfortable, clean, and had its own A/C control which came in handy since it was quite warm when we were there. Staff were friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was nice too. Would prefer to have own coffee maker in the room. Shower was very small but had good water pressure. Mattress was very firm.

Location is fantastic The room : although spacious, the are too old , very uncomfortable mattresses. The worst of all were bedding sheets - grey color, looking dirty instead of crispy white. The pillows were also extremely old (the filling inside is outdated and used). The walls are dressed in wallpaper of gold embroidery, but stained in a few large areas black .

The location and the breakfast were wonderful - very close to Rialto and Piazza San Marco No complementary water, no complementary coffee or tea, staff seemed annoyed when I asked for an iron, most staff were not particularly friendly

Had a balcony. Everything clean. The breakfas was nothing special but not bad

The bed was not comfortable. I asked for a double bed, my request was approved and instead got two single beds, which could not fit anyone over 1.80cm.

We had a lovely stay. Staff and hotel met our expectations.

Many choices

Very good area We had issues with the air conditioner. It was leaking the first night and they stated they were fixing it in the afternoon. It was leaking again the second night. Just enough to ruin clothing if you had it anywhere near the unit. Thankfully we did not. When we checked out I informed the staff who acted surprised and claimed it was fixed the day before but … Otherwise good stay. Good breakfast. Has an elevator. Showers are small but they seem to be small everywhere in Italy

Loved the location, breakfast, staff and balcony! Shower was a little odd but nothing we couldn’t work around!

Lifts at the entrance. Fantastic location great breakfast
