La Rosa dei Venti

This B&B is located along the waterline of Venice is extremely well-located especially if you are in town for the Biennale (Arsenale and Giardino) or if you are around for a Venice football match. The outside looks like an apartment, but once you get to the "b&b" floor, there are hotel rooms as expected. Housekeeping is kept to a limit during the day, but check in is flexible. I also loved the homey feeling and that pets stay for free. I liked everything! If I had to choose one thing it would just be make sure you choose a room with a view of the water.

Main concern was that the room was connected to another guest's room with only some padding and a cutain blocking the doorway. Could easily hear everything they said and did. Restroom also smelled a bit funky and toilet forced you into a weird position when using but hard to blame when the place is as old as it is.

Location

The location is excellent, very close to the port which made it easy to take the ferry. I was upgraded to a room with a stunning view, and it was absolutely magnificent. The staff were very nice and friendly The mattress was too flat and uncomfortable. There is also no elevator, and the property is on the 3rd floor, which made carrying luggage a bit difficult.

We had a fantastic stay at La Rosa dei Venti! Our host Giovanni was incredibly kind and went the extra mile upgrading us from a regular room to a spacious two-bedroom, two-floor apartment for 5 out of our 7 nights. That was a complete surprise for us! Also the entire staff was super kind, friendly and helpful. The location is perfect - right by the Arsenale vaporetto stop, just a 10 min walk from Piazza San Marco, but away from the crowds. The hotel overlooks the lagoon, with stunning views from the balcony and lagoon-facing rooms. There are also many great restaurants nearby. We sincerely recommend this place to anyone visiting Venice. Grazie mille to Giovanni and the whole team! Nothing :)

Great location away from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough for easy access to all the sights and restaurants. Lovely cafe downstairs. Very affordable. Clean and reasonable size room and bath facilities. Giovanni is lovely, hospitable and gave great instructions for accessing the local sights. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was good and sufficient. The location is quiet, but close to lively places, bars and main sights such as St. Mark's Square. The staff was very nice.

Perfect spot for all the sightseeing in Venice, beautiful view from the room over the Lagoon. Only downfall was no lift carrying the case up 4 sets of stairs,

I spent unforgettable days at La Rosa dei Venti and would like to express my deep gratitude to the host, Giovanni, for his hospitality! The hotel has a wonderful location – all the main attractions of Venice are within walking distance, yet the area is quiet and atmospheric. Morning walks through the narrow streets near the hotel were truly magical. The breakfast deserves special praise – very delicious, fresh, and varied! Starting the day with aromatic coffee and croissants in such a cozy place was a real pleasure. The room was warm, cozy, and well-equipped, which is especially important in February. After long walks around the city, it was nice to return to such a comfortable space. A special thanks to the hotel owner – a very friendly and attentive person, always ready to help and give useful advice. If you are looking for a charming place with excellent service in the heart of Venice, La Rosa dei Venti is the perfect choice. I will definitely come back again!

The entire stay is been amazing, the position of the b&b is a 10 min walk to San Marco's square, right in front of the lagoon, breathtaking view from the room that is kept with the highest standards of cleaning. The venetian style of the structure is one of the best features the b&b can have!! Least but not last, the host, Giovanni, is been an extraordinary person, guiding us and giving us the best advice and suggestions where to go eat and visit around the city. I was absolutely feeling like home and i would highly reccomend this bed and breakfast to all the families in search for a relaxed enviroment.

Waterfront location just the right distance from the crowds of St Marks square. No lift but not a problem for us

Fantastic location, just a five minute walk to the centre but quiet in the evenings Air con was weak, it wasn't hot when we stayed but I don't think it would make much difference if it had been. No coffee in room.

It was a fairly average stay. I arrived and despite me saying I’d be there at 12 o’clock I received no information as to what to expect and no one to greet me. A stranger had to help me. I then was made to change rooms to a smaller room that had no minibar (room I booked said mini bar so I could keep my water cool). You can’t pay by card for breakfast. Despite all of that the location was great, the room was clean and it had all other amenities including a working A/C though it took a little while to work. I loved my stay in Venice, and the stay wasn’t worth the amount they charged.

The best location to be in Venice as this is my preferred part with lagoon view, Biennale nearby. Of course it is noisy at night but where not during summer in Venice? The view was well worth money, our room was on the left from the main photo. The keys...We had some problems with old locks..
