Villa Elisabetta

It's a lovely old villa in an enchanted garden, located close enough to boats. I loved that we had bicycles at our disposal. Francesco is a caring host.

Great location, felt very homey

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Elisabetta. The host was very helpful and kind.

The only thing I liked was the host, who was very kind. I didn’t like the fact that the towels had a very bad smell, even though they were supposedly washed. The next day, they were replaced, but the smell remained the same—like a damp towel that hadn't dried properly. They probably wash them at home instead of taking them to a laundry service, which would be absolutely necessary! Additionally, neither the towels nor the bed linen were matching sets; each piece was a different color or material. The furniture was extremely old. I had many complaints considering the price I paid (€100 per night).

Very familiar and cosy atmosphere. Francesco and his wife are very caring hosts. Good breakfast taken with all guests at a communal table, very communicative. Some good restaurants in the neighbourhood.

Location and the owners

Francesco has put a very accurate description of Villa Elisabetta on the website, so we had a good idea what to expect. The property isn't entirely done justice in the photos. It's a very traditional, imposing house with lots of original features on an attractive plot. It's very much a lived-in family home and not a swish hotel, which is exactly what we were looking for. We had a good sized room with a large, super comfy bed and ensuite shower room. Everything worked, and the eclectic bedding and towels were all nice and clean. We were able to keep the room at a nice temperature and slept like a log. Breakfast was basic but provided all that we needed - cereals, bread, jams and honey, fruit, yoghurts, cheese, teas and coffee - and we had a good chat with the other guests round the table, with Francesco officiating in his fluent English and French. The house is in a lovely, quiet location with a good restaurant just around the corner. Francesco has some 'rustic' bikes to borrow which we used to explore the Lido and to whizz down to the jetty to catch the frequent boats to Venice Nothing, it was just what we were after

the breakfast was good plenty of coffee bread and confiture selection of cereals and teas too and you could also bring your shop bought items such as salami or prosciutto and fresh bread to add to the items already provided bicycles were also available which was very helpful for getting around and exploring a little further around the accomadation the bikes were old but perfectly serviceable our room was spacious and warm our host was very friendly and knowledgable if i have an observation meat such as prosciutto was not available for breakfast and two pillows each person made available as opposed to one (though extra was supplied when requested) a couple more easy chairs in the room would be nice to relax and read in.

Feel like at home; nice and nutritious breakfast; not far from sea with clean beaches; cozy garden and terrace; owner permit to use his own bicycles. The owner is devote time to every guest.

Villa Elisabetta is a traditional and old Italian house. It is in the heart of Lido. Francesco is very friendly, you feel like home. The house is very neat and clean. It is great to fall asleep while surrounded by bird songs.

Everything was amazing.

The hosts were lovely and were very kind answering questions and finding events in the area. Very sweet family :) The bedroom was clean and the bed comfortable. It even had a small balcony. The area is calm and well connected to the rest of Venice. The first day the room was a little chilly, but nothing a second blanket didn’t solve :)

Our excellent host, the beautiful house, the pleasant breakfast, and, well, just...Venice... Not much really! Definitely recommended.

The Host was very friendly and helpful. He gives a lot of infos and valueable tips. You can ask him anything and will try to answer it. I enjoyed ma stay a lot. The villa is beautiful in a very nice ambiente.
