Coming back to the same hotel year after year Since sold to Ferretti by Best Western we have seen a rapid decline in services, cleanliness. The hotel is so run down that only a major overhaul can fix. Do not see that happening any time soon with Ferretti ! After almost 20 years, we will change hotels.

The location is good about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the amphitheatre Hotel decor is a bit dated, laminate flooring all over could do with being updated. We could here the toilet flush passing down the pipes from the floor above quiet loudly in our room

The shower was too old and extremely difficult to use. TV remote control was out of batteries. Big uncleaned black stains on the wood parquet. Air condition could not be closed or adjusted and we froze all the night

The staff. Mateus and Lorenzo went out of their way to help us. Location is perfect and breakfast was very good. I overpaid significantly our stay via Booking.com The reception team fully agreed with that and did their best to make up for it.

The location was excellent for us arriving and departing by train. It is an easy walk to the main station in Verona. It’s also an easy walk in the opposite direction into the centre of the city! We loved the aircon which was so welcome in the heat. Being able to boil the kettle and make tea was great as was the use of the fridge for cold water. We seemed to be in ‘an apartment’ in another building, so not sure if all rooms have those facilities! The apartment’ room was a bit strange for us as we had booked a double room. I requested a wooden floor due to my allergies, so perhaps that was why. Anyway we had 2 extra beds that we didn’t need! There were no glasses for a drink of water, not even paper or plastic in the bathroom, I had to ask ant reception and was told ‘no glass’ so obtained 2 paper cups. I thought this strange and disappointing for a 4 * hotel!
