We chose this property because as they continue to restore it, they want to maintain the original house just adding the modern amenities. The house is original and the staff has such an amazing love for and knowledge of the property and its history. We will return if we visit Vicksburg again!

Quiet peaceful an elegant home. Lovely pool. Elizabeth is an excellent host. Our room and bathroom clean, spacious, homely and comfortable Well situated welcoming and lovely stately home tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean.

Great place for the business traveler passing through to visit the Vicksburg battlefield. Comfortable, clean room and an excellent breakfast!

Property staff were very nice and property was nice and clean as was the room.

The property is in a run down area, with neighborhood crime watch signs and questionable surroundings. When we pulled in the driveway, there was litter and piles of clutter around the outside of the inn. It did not look well kept. It was already getting dark when we arrived and it didn’t seem like a safe area to park a car that was packed with personal belongings (moving a kid to college). We decided to not even get out of the car and left to find a different place to stay. When we called them to let them know, they did not give us a refund. Although I cannot attest to the quality of the inside, my experience with the service and the overall facility is the second worst I have experienced. Usually the ratings on Booking.com are spot on. I have to believe this location has recently declined and the ratings have not kept up with the quality.

The room was spacious, staff was professional and courteous. Breakfast was very tasty. I would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful place and great breakfast.

Superb “old-time” boutique hotel, originally built in 1910. Lots of character, but still with modern conveniences. The manager/chef is an extremely nice lady. Breakfast was phenomenal. Well worth the cost!

Elizabeth was wonderful, the room was comfortable clean and huge!! We had a great time in Vicksburg, thank you!!

I liked the idea that each of the accommodations in the grand home were spacious and slightly different; guests were able to access most of the areas. Pool installed in the back by the carriage house was a nice touch. There seemed to be adequate parking. Although I didn’t stay for breakfast, Elizabeth seemed to be well set-up! For about the same price, one can stay here, or in an “average travel motel”. It’s a no-brainer. Nothing at all.
