The Kolping Wien Zentral is centrally located in the heart of Vienna, just over a quarter mile from the modern Museumsquartier. Wheelchair-accessible rooms, a 24-hour front desk and a spacious terrace are provided. The exterior facade was designed by the artist Karl Korab. All rooms at this 2-star hotel are functionally furnished and have private bathrooms. Free access to Wi-Fi is available in public areas on the first floor and in some rooms. Guests can enjoy breakfast (gluten-free and lactose-free on request) in the bright breakfast room, or on the terrace when the weather is nice. A grocery store is located in the building. Kolping hotel is 250 yards from the famous Naschmarkt (open-air market), with many restaurants and unique shops. Kettenbrückengasse U-Bahn (subway) station is 320 yards away. Guests can reach the center of Vienna’s Old Town in 10 minutes with public transportation. The Opera or St. Stephen’s Cathedral are a 15 to 30-minute walk away.

The room itself is incredibly sparse: there is no AC (just a fan), no refrigerator, and no kettle. While the breakfast was actually quite good, the overall experience could easily be improved with just a few standard amenities. It is a fine budget option, but don't expect a great place.

Perfect place to stay in Vienna! Close to the downtown and Mariahilfer straße. Super clean and fantastic breakfast selection! At the reception, Bianca is very kind and helpful! Will stay here again for sure!

The location is great, close to two metro stations, and really easy to walk everywhere from the hotel. The room was as expected, and the breakfast as well. Breakfast is the same every morning but there is enough variety to chose from. All in all, great value for the money, clean, confrontable and close to public transportation. Not that I didn't like something but a refrigerator in the rooms would be a nice addition, I wasn't expecting it as I saw ahead of time that the rooms don't have one, but just saying, something to think about. If the rooms are facing the street, which was the case with our room, window blinds would be better then the curtains.

The location is excellent, close to 2 metro stations and walking distance to center and both main train stations. It's actually a student dorm and a hotel, so it's always good to support such initiatives. Room was quite big, clean, everything is well maintained. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Fast and stable WIFI. Don't expect any extra services, it's a place to stay for short time, but overall it's a great value for the price. Tbh, it exceeded my initial expectations, so I don't really have any dislikes. The hotel is basic, but within that covers all that is needed in a clean and well maintained manner.

I was in this hotel several times, and I am always amazed by it. Location is excellent (less than a minute walk to Naschmarkt, 10 minutes walk to Opera, 3 minutes to Mariahilfer str ....). Breakfast is really typical but great. Rooms are clean, spacious, light, and well-equipped. Underground garage is great and affordable (17 EUR/night). Best of all is stuff, they are more then helpfull, friendly, always smiling, and everything is possible. Overall best value for the money in Vienna's wide center. I will come back again. N/A

Breakfast was EXCELLENT, lovely austrian/german style, great service both at the reception and in the restaurant. It is a great value for the fair price they ask, and therefore it has all my points. Perfect for the price, you get what you pay for, and the staff is really kind and helpful.

Convenient location, about 25 minute walk to the old city, or just a few metro stops. Nearby flea market on Saturdays. Comfortable, well appointed room. Excellent breakfast buffet. Other reviews have mentioned that it looks a bit like a university dormitory and that is true, but didn’t bother us.

The breakfast was tasty and offered a great variety. The room was a good size (not small at all) and the bed was very comfortable. The shower/bathroom was spotless and well maintained. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and it was quiet at night so we slept very well. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent — very close to the metro and bus stops, and also within walking distance to the city center and main attractions. There are plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby, which was very convenient. Nothing in particular — overall everything met our expectations and we had a very pleasant stay.

Everything was just as expected, ... the room was clean, a bit modest, nice breakfast, a garage is in the hotel (nice price), perfect location (10 min walking distance to Opera and 5 min to Naschmarkt - market). This is not my first time in this hotel, and I always come back when possible. Would recommend. VRACAR RULEZ N/A

While check in young Katherina tried her best to feel me comfortable, advised about hotel facilities best to her knowledge, great check in it was. Moreover overall all staff was very friendly and supportive. Good value for money staying here. Comfortable stay

There was a parking problem because the parking spaces were full, and I paid for parking at another lot. So when you stay at the hotel, call them before you arrive.
