Leonardo Hotel Vienna City West

The hotel had a decent location for the price and was very clean and modern. The staff was friendly Coffee was 4 euro. For one cup. Thats ridiculous. And there’s no fridge in the rooms so you can’t bring anything home with you.

We enjoyed our stay here, the staff was great and super helpful. The room was a nice size, with good AC and wifi. The location is a bit far from everything but with Uber or public transport it wasnt too bad.

The shower is badly placed. There is no door so water splashes on the sink area. Additionally, there is not proper door to the WC just a sliding door. Breakfast could be better.

Location is easy to access Clean. The bed is so comfortable.

It's a good location with a nearby metro station. Rooms are clean and roomy enough. Receptionists were awesome - full of knowledge and always ready to help. There was no closet in the room. Breakfast wasn't really my thing (or my wife's or daughter's).

The location was very good regarding public transport (two U lines, trams, bus line). I was afraid of the noise since we had room looking directly to U6 tracks and at about same level, but we didn't hear anything. There are two sliding doors on bathroom and toilet which are separated, so that was okay. Breakfast options could've been better. Staff at breakfast was very mixed - from very nice to very rude. Beds were really firm and almost uncomfortable. The glass divider on shower is too small - there is no way to take a shower and not have a pool of water in front of the washbasin. No stairs and three elevators - then one is in the garage, another blocked by staff on whatever floor, and one going up and down like crazy so you stand at your floor and wait for elevator longer than it would've taken you to go down by stairs. I guess the stairs are locked because of junkies on Gumpendorfer U6 station, but maybe make them unlockable with card like elevators? And messages about self check in are obnoxious, one or, at most, two is enough, no need for spam.

The position of the hotel, which is quite close to the city center, the room arrangement, the fact that the room was on the last floor which I particularly enjoy. Also, the breakfast was good, nice variation of the food. All in all in was a good idea to book with them and will most definitely come back! It was an awfully dusty room and I am very allergic :-(. It was clean and they did clean it again when I mentioned to the reception about the dust, but the room was very dusty, maybe because it was facing the front of the boulevard.

The beds were good and we found an amazing cocktail bar 15 minutes away, that helps the rating for sure! Name is 'The Chapel Bar' for anyone wondering ;-) Location does not seem the safest. We took public transport to and from the center (train and U-bahn), and on the station we always saw yelling, violence and lots of drugs being taken. Not a place to walk around alone late for sure. Check-in was fine, but we didn't get any information on breakfast, tips to the area (maybe that would have been decent in this case) or any other things there might have been in the hotel. Also, the bathroom is divided. Toilet in one, shower+sink. The shower didn't have any cover, so there was water everywhere everytime we showered, meaning we had to use towel on the floor everyday after the showers so we could go and brush our teeth or wash hands. A bit sad to use this many towels or get wet socks all the time. Plus, 9-in-one soap?? Shampoo, conditioner and handsoap together? In a hotel for this price, that is below standard.
