Hotel Mercure Wien Westbahnhof

Excellent location and real value for the money we paid. This was my first time in Vienna, traveling with my daughter, and everything was right from the very start: the booking confirmation, the online check-in, and they even let us into our room early, which meant a lot to us since we had an early flight. The location is fantastic: metro, bus, and tram stops are all close by. The airport bus also stops just 200 meters from the hotel, at the same spot as the Hop On Hop Off bus. Definitely the best choice for a first visit to Vienna, and it will be our pick again when we come back next year. Highly recommend!

الخدمة سيئة ولا يوجد خدمه حمل الحقائب والغرفه صغييييره جدا جدا بالرغم من ان دفعنا زياده لترقية الغرفه ولكن الغرفه جدا صغيره حتى م تقدر تفتح شنطتك وتطلع ملابسك ! ولايوجد دولاب ملابس ولايوجد ماء ف الغرفه وعندما طلبنا ماء رفضوا يعطونا علما ان وصلنا من المطار ف وقت متاخر ولايوجد بقالة مفتوحه ! من غير غطاء الفراش صغير جدا برغم من ان سريرنا كنج ولكن أعطونا اغطيه صغيره ! باختصار لا انصح بالسكن في هذا الفندق

Dinner in the hotel restaurant was delicious. Breakfast was good (all I need). Very nice hotel. I recommend it.

Location is just perfect!!! Very old hotel, not comfortable bed, old furniture….. this hotel is not 4*, maksimum 3*…… Photo is not in accordance with reality, they use a lot of filters! And you always feel smell of “old house” from everywhere: carpet, bed etc. Housekeeping staff nock at your door every 15 minutes during check out day! It will be nice to learn they to work on PC with special housekeeping programme!!! Reservation department and Genaral Manager are arrogant, if you will try to make any changes with your reservation - not a chance to fill “true hospitality”. I understand they happy when anybody made reservation there……. but this hotel is not 5*(!) Also, hotel have at the moment reconstruction (!) but never inform guest about this. But they have to do it!!! So, you have to be ready that maintaince work will start at the early morning at business days(!). And 20 euro for this breakfast it is really too much.

The location is great, the staff is helpful and a near-future renovation is planned for the hotel! Maybe it is a bit old-fashioned these days but is working great!

I was alone in the room, wasn't feeling well and called the reception to ask if they had a nurse. They rudely said "no" without caring or asking if I was ok or if I needed anything.

It was old but well maintained decent room. Very clean. It has a restaurant at the ground floor. You would find a metro station in 10mins walk and a Tram station in 10mins of walk. There is also a super market close by.

Also, it’s near Mariahilfer Strasse, a major, pedestrian-only thoroughfare filled with great retail shops, cafes, and towards the major historical sites. None.

Rude cleaning service, rude reseptionist

The breakfast was good. The room itself was bright. Thankfully the sound of the traffic decreased considerably around 12:30 am. I specifically booked a larger and more expensive room because it stated it was facing the inner courtyard, and I know a room facing the street (right by the train station no less) is not a quiet room. When I arrived however I was assigned a room overlooking the active intersection. A request to change the room to a courtyard room was refused on the grounds of none available, nor were any less expensive rooms facing the courtyard available. This may have been an error of booking.com mislabeling the room, but there is no way to know.

It’s literally next to the station. Great staff. Very helpful and resourceful The room can be a lil updated , cleanliness was good yet some updated stuff, lights , etc can be helpful

Location is good

I recently stayed at Hotel Mercure Wien Westbahnhof, and I was extremely disappointed. The hotel is very old, with outdated and dusty furniture. The heating in the room was not working properly, which was very uncomfortable as the weather was -1°C. Some electrical sockets were damaged and not working, and the wardrobe had very few hangers, making it difficult to organize clothes. The linens were old and had an unpleasant smell, and basic amenities like slippers were not provided. The reception staff were unfriendly, especially the man at check-in. He was reluctant to give a paid receipt and only provided it after I insisted. While walking past the reception, I also witnessed some guests arguing with the staff, which made the atmosphere unpleasant. The location is far from main train stations. Although there is a nearby station, it is not the main one. There are restaurants and supermarkets around, but you need to walk more than 1.5 km to reach decent options. Overall, I cannot understand how this property is rated four stars. It doesn’t even deserve two. Accor Hotels should review this franchise, as it negatively affects their reputation.

The location was perfect as the hotel is just around 2 minutes away by walk to the train station. The room and bathroom were pretty spacious and the bed was comfortable.Variety of restaurants around the area. The staff were very helpful. I would like to thank Adrian from the reception for going all the way to show me the place where to find the airport shuttle bus. Cant connect to the restaurant and reception when I tried calling from the room.
