Pension Madara

The location is excellent. It is on a nice main street, and you can either walk to the city centre in around 30 minutes or reach a tram stop in less than 5 minutes, with easy connections to the U-Bahn and other public transport. The staff were very nice and helpful, the room was clean, and overall the value for money was very good. There are a few things that could be improved. First, there is no air conditioning. The weather was comfortable during my stay, and I understand that Austria is cold for much of the year, but during hot weather this could be uncomfortable, especially for guests who are sensitive to room temperature. I think the lack of AC should be mentioned more clearly in the property information. The bathroom also has some issues related to the renovation. The sewage system uses a pump, and the warning signs about what can or cannot be flushed can make guests a little worried about accidentally causing a problem. I understand why the instructions are necessary, but ideally the plumbing and sewage system should be upgraded so that guests do not have to think about it during their stay. Finally, the bathroom sink is unusually small and narrow. There is enough space in the bathroom for a larger sink, which would make washing, shaving, and everyday use much more comfortable.

Location is good, both tram and bus. Cafe, supermarket nearby. Every day morning coffee. Towel supply everyday. Spacious room. Comfort bed. Nice service. Summer hot weather there is only fan. And because room facing the street, open window can lead to morning noise of tram.

Everything was super comfortable and cosy. Literally, the stay at Pension Madara at the heart of Vienna exceeded my expectations! A super 10/10 rating from my end! :)

The room was very large, with a king-size bed, single bed, sofa, tables and chairs. All very comfortable. Two wardrobes, kettle, cups. The location was perfect, near the tram 43/44 with quick connection to the main attractions. Two big supermarkets were only few steps away, great. Some nice place for having breakfast were available. Lime scooters also available very near. Plenty of sockets, also near the bed. Lady assistant was very friendly and helpful. The sink in the toilet could have been a big larger, as there was space. The lift was useless as the entrance is in-between floors... however, the steps were shallow and very comfortable to climb, so this was not an issue.

Stayed for 2 nights. The room was bigger than we expected, quiet at night with comfy beds, and everything was very clean. Good location with easy access to city center and other neighborhoods via public transport. Also affordability was a big plus. Friendly staff. Would stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and offered everything we needed, and the hotel facilities were simple yet well-suited to our needs. The gentleman who served us was exceptionally friendly and made us feel welcome throughout. Its location is excellent—very convenient for exploring the area. We also appreciated the availability of lockers, which made it easy to store our suitcases after check-out. Even when using the elevator, one still has to climb half the stairs. But this is not a big problem for people without very heavy luggage.
