we booked dinner at their restaurant and were quite disappointed with the food.

It was like an oasis in the city. I felt very safe in this location. The police station is right next door. Comfortable beds and sheets. It was easy to get to old town from here, about a 10 minute walk to the metro which takes you directly across the river.

The room was big and clean, the swimming pool was great, breakfast was very good.

I just felt that charging 18 EUR for the parking was excessive for the type of hotel and room rates one already pays

Excellent breakfast, wonderful, attentive staff to assist with special orders. Loved the gym, pool and facilities. All the hotel staff were warm, friendly and very helpful. I only wish the outdoor pool had been open during our stay. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

The Hotel is situated in an old private park in Vila de Gaia, a bit off from the center but accessible within a 20 minute walk from the Douro or by bus. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, especially when I became sick and needed a bit of help during meals - which were always great, with a high quality buffet or dinner courses. We stayed over New Year's and attended the five course dinner and can really recommend the Bodeiras restaurant. The service was impeccable. The Hotel is very beautiful as well as the rooms, which are well isolated and climatized. The beds are very comfortable. The Spa staff was very kind and professional and the massage i got was great. The pool and sauna were nice but frequented by many families, so it was very loud and not relaxing at all.

Top location, clean and modern rooms Portugal is the land of coffeelovers....why serve coffe from the dispencer machines. Prefer real espresso ?

In principle all. Breakfast, Room, Bar, Lobby, Garage ... I had no time to use the WiFi, so I don´t know. I liked very much the garage with the broad parking places and easy entry - something you don´t find always in Hotels. To mention something .. the barrier on our day of arrival didn´t work well and we had to go back to the Hotel 2 times until we could move the car. Surely a temporary topic.

Facilities are brilliant, staff are brilliant, breakfast is the best I have had in any hotel - highly recommend Only the food at the bar - very limited and gets tedious after a while. Other than that it’s brilliant
