Lovely hotel and staff. Liked the outdoor chess and swimming pool and swings. Breakfast was nice. Handy by Uber to most locations. Douro Marina walkable distance -nice fish restaurants and sunsets. Family room far too small for 2 adults and 2 children and the air conditioning in the room was terrible-the rest of hotel was nice and cool. I saw other comments about that so hotel need to fix that.

Rooms were basic but all that was needed, location was a short uber to main areas so all good amd staff were great Aircon did not work first night so had no sleep but was moved to a different room the next night so all ended well.

The pool area was nice as was the breakfast The location was inconvenient as not walking distance from any amenities, it is like a motorway hotel pretty much. You can’t walk to a shop to buy water or snacks in less than 20 mins and the walking route is by a motorway’s edge not a scenic amble.
