Very basic breakfast

Our host was very sweet and we had a great time here, was nice to stay on the Gaia side when visiting Porto to get away from the touristy place.

Beautiful calm vibe in a busy area. The location is easy to navigate by foot, train or ride share. Our host was lovely and clearly cares for his guests, preparing a very nice breakfast each day. Room was very clean and so was the bathroom we had as a private bath that was across the hall. Only issue was the room temperature at night was quite warm, due to location it was hard to leave the window open due to light and noise which was absent when window was closed. The small kitchen where breakfast is served while nice created the need for scheduling breakfast and made 30 min breakfasts a bit rushed. The food was very nice and fresh.

There are a limited number of parking spaces (2), which are rented at extra charge (10 euros per day). The guy who operates the hotel, named Sanjay, is a lovely, kind, generous guy and considerate of the guest requests. In particular, he helped me by allowing me to continue parking, even after I officially cleared the room. It's a charming gesture!!! Thank you so much, Sanjay, for your generosity! You are definitely a lovely guy! Breakfast is very elementary, but you can start the day beautifully with it. I was in room 4, very spacious and comfortable, and is the only room that also contains an integral bathroom. Residents of all other rooms must leave their room to share a common bathroom in the hallway. Overall I was very pleased. I think the price is fair. I highly recommend the Origami hotel to anyone who is not too spoiled. I'm sure all hotel guests will be happy if you serve butter instead of margarine at breakfast, provide a fresh bun instead of packed bread, and also provide some fresh vegetables, thank you very much!

Exceptionally clean, very comfortable, high-quality bed linen, good breakfast, but the most we liked the host. So smiling, so friendly! We enjoyed our stay a lot. 100% recommendations :).

- One of the cheapest options I found for this location - No one bothered us at all during the entire staying, it felt like we were alone in the house all night - Host was super nice to us (even while having a bit of a language barrier) - Everything was nice and clean (room, shared bathroom, kitchen, even the smoking area) (and had pretty decorations :P) - We got the keys to our room, apartment door and building door, and so we were able to get in and out of the house at will - In the closet there was also a heater and a fan (the 1st came in handy during the night) - Host made us a beautiful breakfast (even when we weren't that hungry and just had some coffee haha) - The beds were a little noisy (still comfortable to sleep in, just made some noise if we moved around a bit) - I could only stay for one night :(

I couldn't ask for a better stay. Great location and clean rooms. The owner was polite and professional. He gave me information and advice and asked me to treat his hotel like my home. I enjoyed being there and talking to him. I recommend it to my closest friends. I can't think of anything.

Good location near tram stop and good supermarket across the road. Local cafes and restaurants very good value. The host was lovely and prepared nice breakfast every day. Loved chatting to different travellers at breakfast time. Black mould around shower tray fairly bad. We stayed nine nights and room wasn’t cleaned or bin emptied once. We paid for private bathroom but on last two nights someone else was using it too!!

We loved the free breakfast and the attention to detail put into this. The room was big, bed was comfortable, cupboard space for belongings, jug for water, double windows with shutters helped block out traffic noise. The kitchen had everything needed for preparing own meals and the common area and balcony was such a nicely furnished and comfortable space. The owner of this property was so so lovely, so attentive and welcoming. He greeted you always with a smile and wanted to ensure we were the most comfortable. The parking underneath the building provided a stress free solution to keep our hire car whilst we explored the city - a short metro ride or about 15 minutes walk. Nothing! All was wonderful
