The staff was really helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and everyone was friendly.

Staff was great and the location was ideal.

The temperature in the room was too cold.. we could never get a comfortable room temperature. A big plus was the microwave!!

It was a great stay. One thing that was an issue was only one elevator worked at the time. As well the hot water didn’t get super warm. I’m not sure if it was just with our room we booked or if it’s like that throughout the hotel. But overall had a great stay and staff was helpful when we got there.

Room was clean, staff was nice. Elevators were pretty slow and one was out of order. Beach view was great! I would recommend this hotel for a family stay.

It was the perfect location and hotel for my family! Easy access to the beach and a great pool at the hotel.

Took two days to get replacement towels - TWICE- and it's only because I chased the housekeeper down to get them. Had to plead my case with her because she didn't have enough for the floor. I took the last of her towels and she still had at least half the floor to go still***This is obviously a management issue.**** Also had to go to front desk to get t.p. twice because housekeeping did not replace (guessing same reason- they didn't have enough to replace whole hotel that needed them). Had to buy our own pack from the little mart on the main floor one day bc the hotel had NONE Breakfast was sparse AT BEST. Two cereal options, bagel, toast, packaged mini muffin (one flavor), packaged hard boiled eggs, yogurt and pancakes. There were 'fresh' apples and mandarin oranges but the oranges were far past ripe and inedible. As stated in reviews MONTHS AGO- there was only one elevator. No exaggeration- we would wait nearly 10 minutes for the elevator to get to our floor (9 floor hotel). The fact that there is still only one elevator after it being down for months says management doesn't care. The good: our room was clearly cleaned very thoroughly prior to our check in. Have been to other hotels where we walked into a pile of sand. Staff was super friendly and helpful. store on 1st floor was convenient- staff there awesome as well. THE OCEANVIEW is great

Older hotel. Was not very clean. Elevator’s were not very accessible due to one being down and the other was over used. Could not handle the overflow of guest. Our room was very dated and the curtains were coming off the hooks hanging in the window. The smell of marijuana was so bad coming from other room's the first night we could not sleep. Overall the location was great and oceanfront view was perfect! The resort needs a good cleaning and some updates. Signs state no smoking in the room or off balconies so marijuana should not be smoked as well. Maybe create designated areas outside.

Everything almost was perfect it’s just they need to upgrade the breakfast but that’s all.

Noticed hotel staff cleaning the floors with bathroom towels My room I was told had no elevator access I had to carry 4 suitcases up 2 flights of stairs????. My room was dirty with food and hand prints all over the headboard. My wife looked in between the bed sheets before we entered the bed noticed pubic hairs and dirty sheets already existing in the bed. We had the front desk staff change all the sheets. Checked is at 7 pm went to see the Virginia Beach board walk for the first time and returned to our room to see live roaches walking on the baseboards. We checked out at 11:30 because of the roach situation. Was told by staff the entire hotel was completely booked with no availability at midnight after driving for 6 hours. I am requesting a 100 percent refund for this booking. The property should not be permitted to do any booking on any public website until housekeeping and maintenance issues have been corrected This entire situation was extremely alarming and frustrating because of the neglect and negligence of the staff members and the owner that failed to train and provide adequate training for all team members on hospitality operations and procedures.

Stained sheets, broken/crude growing elevators, At least the AC work. Can't expect much when you don't pay much.

Booked our room last minute and got a great deal! Walked into to a clean room, no musky old room smell and a beach view with a balcony. I thought the hotel was maintained well overall for an older building. Appreciated the parking garage and easy beach access. Cleaning crew was always moping up wet areas from the pool or beachgoers. Hotel check in was easy and friendly. 10/10 would stay here again. Right by the pier too.

Bathrooms are very small. Pretty good bkfst. Staff helpful. Plenty of indoor parking. For what you pay per night it’s sufficient.

Overall the trip and stay was good. The hotel is dated for the price. One elevator was out of service. Super friendly and helpful staff. Would stay there again no problems.

Loved the hotel. But only one elevator was a bummer. Very long waits 😓

Short stay but was a great overall experience. The only downside or gripe was uncontrollable by staff. One of the elevators was down that resulted in long waits to get up to the room if you needed to use it, fortunately we had no issues taking stairs and viewed the 9 flights as our gym work out.

The pool area is terrible, with bad-colored water. The breakfast is not well-served and not healthy. Their gloves touch everywhere on the door handles and elevator control buttons while performing their duties. They brought a crib for my baby in poor condition and without a mattress after I paid a little extra. It is my honest assessment.
