Spark by Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront

The staff was very helpful. We loved the outside pool, ocean view and the handicap accessibility of the beach. The hotel was on the opposite side from all of the other larger hotels so it was pretty peaceful.

The staff was kind, coffee in the lobby was excellent. Staff wasn't trained properly. Couldn't answer questions, or knowledge of checking in and couldn't figure out military disct or paying we booking CC. Never had maid service for first 4 days, then had 1 day and then never came back. We stayed Saturday to Saturday.We only had a sheet on the bed and a duvet cover but no comforter in it and no pillow cases finally when me maid came on Thursday we had room done perfectly..but going without a clean room was absolutely awful going downstairs to get towels was ridiculous Continental breakfast was cereal, powder eggs, chicken sausage, bagels, yogart machine oj, coffee, property was better running years ago when privately owned by Patel always. Hallways elevators nevermind vacuumed or swept, laundry left from rooms in the floor of the hallway for two days. When you tell anyone the answer was " sorry yea were short staffed yea I'm new etc etc pass the buck" staff was polite and kind place needs a better manager that can get things done we there over a week smoke detectors in breakfast room ripped out of ceiling... disappointed I have stayed here for over 12+ years Patel family was much better running this sad.

Its definitely a family friendly environment, an amazing view of the ocean and places to eat were in walking distance. Chix awesome restaurant and the workers were really pleasant. The fly situation was annoying making it difficult to enjoy the environment at Chix restaurant. Sparks, outsiders were able to still swim in the pool despite the signs. You really don't know who's a guest of the hotel or someone that lives in the area.

The bathroom had pubic hair in the shower there was mold between the grout the bedsheet felt like it had sand in it

Need something other than the same meaning eggs a sausage for breakfast everyday is like what the heck need to switch it up get some other breakfast items in there and not meaning cereal because yall had that. The bathroom lay out i had to shove the door past the toilet to be able to sit down to shit then back across the front of the toilet so that I could shower.

The proximity to the beach and boardwalk was great. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a fantastic view of the ocean. We loved the outdoor pool! Unfortunately, the elevator was on the blink a few of the days and there must have been water damage on the first floor. Otherwise, we will definitely return!

Don’t stay here. One nightmare issue after another. 1st room was filthy dirty. Switched to another room - toilet seat wasn’t screwed onto the toilet. The shower door wasn’t chalked properly and water from the shower flooded the bathroom floor. Second night there the hotel room door wouldn’t lock, had to wait for maintenance to fix it before we could leave for the beach. The staff were remarkable though.

Very close to the ocean. Decent pool area. Not very clean. Staff very unresponsive to requests. Very poor room service. Rooms are VERY small.
