The Stay Wakkanai- Hostel

The staff welcome was nice. Facilities were clean and comfortable. The room was very bright when trying to sleep and it was very easy to hear other guests so sleeping was difficult.

Friendly staff, access to laundry and kitchen area, clean restroom and shower facilities, ability to store bike in garage, amazing location right across from JR Wakkanai station, Aizawa grocery nearby too

The rooms were very clean, great common space, and incredible location for everything you need to do in Wakkanai (ferry, JR, shops, restaurants, etc.) Honestly nothing I can think of was negative.

The common room

This was my second time staying at The Stay Wakkanai and it was just as charming and pleasant as a couple of years ago. People in Wakkanai are so kind, and the staff at The Stay are no exception. I felt really welcomed, the bed was really comfortable, and the location couldnt be more covenenient. I came here for the Wakkani Peace Marathon, and the staff kindly gave out an energy/sports snack for the participants. I could also leave my backpack there during the race, and pick it up safely and conveniently after finishing. An unfortgettable experience!

Very clean and had a lot of accommodations like laundry, food for purchase, a kitchen, fans, AC, a lamp in each bunk, and a charge port in each bunk. I just wish there were more than one toilet for the whole second floor.

Super convenient location just right across the Wakkanai JR Station. The property is impeccably clean and the room and bed comfortable. I highly recommend for seasoned and cost conscious travelers alike.

It was cheap, and worth it Not much

Super close to station. Loud footsteps, 1 shower/2 sinks/1 toilet but 15+ guests.., no bug mesh for window to be opened and the rooms stank from old plastic and moisture, pillows were long overdue for cleaning(yellow stain), everything is extra charge..

The staff is considerate and you can leave you can luggage there for ¥500 a day. The bunk bed was a bit scary.

Everywhere here is clean. Location is good. Staffs are kind and helpful.

The hostel is located right across from the JR station. The free parking area is a bit of a trek from the hostel, which can be a hassle if you're arriving in winter. You can easily stroll over to Breakwater Dome from there. The room is roomy enough for two guests. The shower and toilet are kept clean and stocked with plenty of amenities. Plus, you can whip up your coffee and tea in the shared pantry. The staff wasn't very friendly. He did go over everything with us during check-in, but he had a pretty serious expression the whole time. Just to clarify, we weren't checking in late.

I've been in Wakkanai with a group of friends. The House is in the center, literally in front of the bus and train station and around there are several restaurants and conbinis. The apartment was really beautiful, clean and well maintained Unfortunately the apartment was REALLY COLD, there was a heater which however only heated one room, while the other two where completely glacial
