Just two minutes from the A1 motorway and 15 minutes from Salzburg city center, the 4-star Hotel Gerl is located in Wals – in a quiet yet easily accessible location. The airport is a five-minute drive away. Wi-Fi and public parking? Of course, free of charge. Our rooms are relaxed, cozy, and stylishly furnished. Many even have a balcony with mountain views – perfect for taking a breath of fresh air. View Club, Adults Only (21+) From May to mid-September, our View Club transforms into a crossover beach club. Pool, music, drinks, and views – the perfect place to celebrate life in style. And Saturdays are especially laid-back: From 12 pm to 6 pm, our local DJs spin tunes – easy vibes, no hustle and bustle, just great music and a relaxed atmosphere. Opening Hours in the Summer Season (May to the end of August) View Club: 12 pm to 10 pm Food: 12 pm to 6 pm Drinks: 12 pm to 7 pm Infinity Pool: 12 pm to 10 pm Panoramic Sauna: 6 pm to 10 pm in good weather, 11 am to 10 pm in bad weather. We recommend reserving a sun lounger in advance. Indoor loungers cannot be reserved. Winter Hours: From October to April, our View Club wellness area is open daily from 11 am to 8 pm. We charge €25 for small dogs (below knee height) and €35 for larger dogs (above knee height). Please note: Dogs are only allowed in our Urban Eco and Comfort rooms. Everything! Amazing design, location, facilities, staff! So clean and perfect for business travelers since it's so close to airport and business area!

What I liked less was the checkout policy. Guests are not allowed to use the hotel facilities on the day of checkout, and there is no option to pay for a late checkout — only to book an additional night. Our flight was at 7:00 PM, and in order to stay by the pool for a few more hours, we were asked to pay an extra €35. This was the first time we’ve experienced something like this at a hotel, which was a bit disappointing.

It has a calm vibe to it that I love. Also the rooms are well equipped and beautiful and clean. I also loved that the buffet had gluten free options. The restaurant was closed the two days we stayed there and the menu at the bar didn’t work for me.

This was such a beautiful boutique hotel. The bar and restaurant area were warm and inviting, and the spa was stunning. It was a little remote from Salzburg and required a 30 minute bus ride

Truly so happy I ended my trip at Hotel Gerl. This place is exceptional, especially considering the price. I would expect this hotel to be $500+/night in the US. The room was very comfortable, clean and modern with a giant balcony and a Mountain View. The amenities are amazing, especially the View Club. I spent the entire day going between the sauna, the outdoor heated pool (even though it was cold outside, the pool is almost at hot tub temperature) and the different relaxation rooms. I got a very good, reasonably-priced massage with Mona, who was amazing and used different techniques from around the world, also giving me free cupping and hot stone. The food was also very good; I ate every meal at the hotel restaurant. The staff are all incredibly friendly and accommodating. They also have a free airport shuttle which was really nice since I had an early morning flight. If I’m ever back in Austria, I will definitely be visiting again!

Suitable for families When the temperature rises out Side in the summer, the air condition in some rooms does not work well.
