Kauri House

This was one of the loveliest places I have ever stayed! The apartment itself is super charming with all the amenities you might need. The view from the deck was unbelievable--truly remarkable. I sent a picture to a friend and they called it "paradise." The location is fantastic for Wanaka. We had stayed downtown in Queenstown, and it nice to be a few minutes removed here but still convenient to everything. But the kindness of Noelene And Bill is unmatched. My heart feels fuller from staying here. (And stomach from their delicious breakfast!!!)

The building is beautiful and sits atop the town with a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and lakes. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and provided us with everything we could have wished for including hot and delicious breakfasts each morning. The interior is warm and and cozy. The driveway up the hill is tricky, but will be repaired soon.

It was a wonderful place. Thanks to you, Wanaka has become a wonderful memory. If you go to New Zealand, you should definitely stay there. Nothing.

Very comfortable apartment with everything you could need. Bill & Noelene are amazing hosts and cannot do enough for you. Breakfast was fantastic, with daily choices, cooked to order. One day was even given freshly caught trout. View across Lake Wanaka from the huge balcony is fantastic. Great communication with directions as location could be a little tricky. Would fully recommend. Thank you Bill & Noelene for making our stay so enjoyable. Nothing, all fantastic.

Noelene and Bill are excellent hosts and made a great effort with our breakfast every day. The views are outstanding. I doubt there are better views elsewhere in Wanaka. The apartment is lovely and has everything one needs. We would love to go back there one day as we had a wonderful time.

A stunning apartment with amazing views of the lake and mountains. It is very comfortable and warm , with some nice touches like the robes and wine. It was really useful to have the use of laundry facilities The breakfasts are very good ... They set you up for the day, and it is all done with a lot of care. Noelene and Bill are friendly, interesting, and rightly proud of their wonderful home. We didn't want to leave, and if we were ever in NZ again, we would definitely visit here again

Beautiful property with stunning panoramic view, great privacy, warm & respectful hosts and top-notch breakfast!! We truly love the experience and would strongly recommend it to anyone who visits Wanaka. Nil. Everything was awesome! Shower was a bit weak but it’s not a big deal. Note: you will need a car to stay here.

It was quiet, self contained with the most amazing view. Nothing was too bad!

Incredible!! The views are STUNNING! The apartment is beautiful with really interesting architecture. Breakfast every morning was delicious. Noelene and Bill were delightful hosts. My only regret is that we didn't have time to chat with them more. They shared so many interesting details about the area and about their home. If you're coming to Wanaka and this place is available, do not hesitate. Book it!!

Amazing views of lake & mountains from this unique home. Noelene & Bill are lovely caring & informative hosts who are so keen to make a stay at Kauri House memorable. Nothing. But if you choose to walk into town it’s a steep climb back up afterwards at the end!

The hosts were exceptional! They were friendly, informative and so welcoming while still respecting our privacy. The apartment where we stayed was totally separate from the hosts house. Every morning we were greeted at a predetermined timed with a lovely breakfast. Eggs, bacon or sausage,and a variety of fresh vegetables from their garden. It was heavenly! The property was very clean and well appointed. The hosts gave us recommendations about sights around the area. Upon our request. A washer and dryer were available which was a welcome amenity during our stay. The location was convenient to town and other local attractions. I cannot say enough about this wonderful find and the lovely couple who hosted us during our fantastic visit to Wanaka! I can think of nothing I didn’t like.

Amazing place with outstanding views, beautiful furnished and very comfortable. Noelene and Bill hospital us like a family, Prepared delicious breakfast, recommended were to go and even gave us a ride to the trail. We had great time and definitely will come again. Everything was perfect

Apartment was excellent with great views of Wanaka and the surrounding mountains. Breakfasts were delightful and prepared with such care and thoughtfulness. Nothing - apart from having to leave to travel to next destination!

Absolutely stunning room with an amazing view, and the property is lovely. Norlene and Bill were very warm as welcoming, and Norlene went above and beyond to make our stay special and to be helpful. And her breakfast, which she brought up to the room, was delicious.
