Omni Shoreham Hotel Washington DC

This was such a great stay for our family of 4!

The room itself was spacious and otherwise clean & well-maintained.

I stay here once a year for the past decade. Love the place , neighborhood , food, ect....

It was a beautiful place. A few little glitches. Our fridge didn’t work and we didn’t know until all our food was ruined. They brought a new one but juts dropped it off on the floor. The safe didn’t work and the bathroom vent didn’t work so you had to wait to get ready when the mirror de fogged. The tone had what looked like decal material stains or blood all over the back of it.

When we checked in, we were not told about the destination fee and the ability to spend the money in the lounge and thus receive a credit. The family we were staying with knew this information and shared this with us. Front desk – should go through all of those details with people upon check-in.

A very old and disconnected property with rooms far from the amenities and very dated. As a small example all 5 ice machines in our wing were broken down. Had room service & had delivery charged multiple times & many unexplained "fees" on the bill. They want your credit card for a $200 "incidental hold" which is for all these extra charges! Beware! I would steer clear of this one, looks a lot better than it really is. I really don't understand the positive reviews it's had.Tony

Great price and location coupled with amazing service and close proximity to the zoo.

When it’s time to check out they charge us extra $30 for the access to the pool and spa even though they said it’s free on the website

My husband and I came to D.C. for our 11yr anniversary and decided to stay at the Omni. This place is not short of amazing, we were greeted by a friendly host Sedenia who answered all our questions. She was patient with us because we were so hot n jet lagged and reassured us to call front desk and as for her if we need anything ❤️. Our rm was cleaned and restocked every time we left to go sightseeing and a refreshing pitcher of water was placed in the lobby to greet us evey time we came back ❤️. Everyone that greeted us were professional and kind. Thanks Omni, we'll be back soon 🥰😘❤️

We chose this hotel based on its location to the national zoo and it was perfect! A quick 12 minute walk. There are also many restaurants within walking distance and it’s just a quick car ride to all the monuments. The hotel is charming and the grounds are beautiful.

The lobby and outside grounds are beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The hotel is older and hasn’t been completely renovated. For example, the old doors between the rooms (we had 2 adjoining rooms) are well constructed with charming knobs, but can get sticky and difficult to open.
