The hotel has nice, clean rooms and spacious bathrooms. Keep in mind that noise levels at night can be annoying but I didn't mind. Light sleepers might have issues. I also love the Cowshed products they have in rooms. Some staff are more helpful than others but mostly great. I prefer staying here than downtown. And walking to the red line to get downtown isn't bad or you can easily take a bus.

The only issue I have is withe water. Very low pressure and the shower water is hard to adjust and doesn’t get hot enough.

Location was great. Lobby lovely as was the room.

Nice property. Part of the property was originally a Church. The bar, restaurant and sitting area is beautifully set in the old sanctuary. They even turned the old pipes from the organ into a chandelier. Easy walking distance to the restaurants and entertainment of the Adams Morgan neighborhood. I would book this property again if staying in the area.

The room was big and comfortable, way more so than I expected for a city hotel. The location was great for us and the staff was really nice and friendly. We will likely stay here again when we are in DC to visit family.

Awesome hotel

The bedding was insanely comfortable—like sleeping on a cloud! The room itself was quiet and relaxing, while the location was fantastic. There was so much around us, with tons of great places within easy walking distance. It was the perfect combination of a peaceful room and a lively, convenient neighborhood. Honestly, there wasn't anything I particularly disliked. Everything about our stay was great.

I had asked for a specific room layout, and although my initial room was not to my liking, the staff worked to give me what I had asked for. I was grateful.
-
Great location. Breakfast place was fantastic.
-
The hotel has seen better days for sure. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
-
Be aware that valet parking is twice as advertised Taxes and fees are more than parking itself.

My main complaint is that the rooftop that is in EVERY ad for this place is actually only open to guests on Wednesdays from like 4-8. It's a special event venue. You can't even go up there. I thought I'd post up and read with my coffee in the morning or head up after dinner for a drink, but nope. Only on a Wednesday and only for 4 hours. Room itself was decorated again with a trying to be cool vibe. The look was "I found this at a flea market" but not really. Fantastic water pressure in the shower. My other tiny complaint was that nespresso machines were advertised - and it was indeed there - but with knockoff pods. Like, you know who you are targeting with the nespresso machines; give us the real pods.

What a great and unique property! So historic and yet also so modern and beautiful! Staff was amazing. Had a wonderful chat with Jill during happy hour. The staff clearly is proud of the property and interested in sharing its history.
