The 1st thing strikes you is the overwhelming stench of urine the moment you enter propty ground is. Clerk at check in was more concerned that he would be leaving in 18 minutes and if I had any issues with the room, I needed to tell him in those 18 mins. The property still uses hard key. room was good sized and luckily did not stink. The sheets were clean. We had to physically go down to get some toiletries. Basically like a motel. The rooms looked redone, but lacked finishing, basically like a lipstick on a pig. Room service did clean up once which was nice. The front desk staff were not welcoming. Location is in Wells, not Ogunquit, so by savinga a few bucks by staying here were wasted on parking .

We had an issue with the AC unit in our room. They came and replaced it quickly with a brand new one. Thought that was great! Housekeeping needs to pay attention to detail. I do! All in all it was nice but for that reason I’d likely look elsewhere next time.

    Nice pool clean motel

The outside of the property is very misleading as the exterior is well manicured, unfortunately the rooms were akin to staying at a low rate Super 8 motel. We had to be moved as the first room smelled so heavily with mold and mildew, and the second room was slightly better. Propped open the door hoping that would help since there were no windows we could open for proper ventilation, to no avail. After a terrible night with little to no sleep and soreness from the lack of quality of the beds we opted to just drive home rather than stay the second night we paid for...and of course, no refund would be considered because we were already placed in a different room that was "better" than the first. Watch what you say in order to be polite as it backfires on you. Will never make this mistake again.

There was hair on floor and bath tub and the room had a bad chemical oder, not a cleaning product oder a bad chemical oder… didn’t sleep because of it.

Nice and spacious. Well stocked kitchen

The location was just okay The accommodations were nothing like the photos. Outdated, uncomfortable bed, towels were old, bare floors, old air conditioner/heater smelled horrible, had to walk through wet grass to cottage as no walkway, someone’s car in front of our cottage had high beams shining in our windows for over an hour.

Pool was nice room was comfortable

The cottage where we stayed was clean. It was dated, however, and the air conditioning unit was very loud, even on the low setting. The front door was old and didn’t close properly without having to forcefully slam it shut. Overall, it was okay for a short stay, but I wouldn’t have liked a longer stay, as housekeeping was an up charge.

We rented a two bedroom cottage for one night. The wifi connection was poor and the television was an older model with no instruction manual or guide. Once we finally connected to the cable channels the connection went in and out. The air conditioner is mounted up high in the wall and there was no remote. You had to stand on a chair to turn it on/off and adjust it. The microwave was manufactured in 1996 and did not work very well. The pool was colder than expected, but the water was very clear and clean. The bathroom was clean. There were plenty of blankets, pillows, and towels. The kitchen items were not very clean (dirty coffee maker, coffee pouches were stuck together with something sticky, dirty silverware in drawer, etc). The couches had several small rips in them. At check in we were not given any essential information other than "Here's your key. It's the cabin all the way straight and to the left". Upon checkout we were not asked how our stay was or told that they hoped we enjoyed our stay. For the price we paid I feel strongly that the place is in need of maintenance and updating. Overall, an ok place to stay if you are going to spend your entire day at the beach and just need a place to sleep. But I feel there are plenty of more cost effective choices for that in the area.

Room was fine except the bathroom shower curtain was in bad shape with black mildew at the bottom.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The staff were very nice and explained things well. The room (though Pet Friendly) could have been a little cleaner. The curtains were ripped and stained and the corking around the sink and the tub were a little messy. Not a bad room in general but for the price should have been a little better kept but again not bad. I'd stay again, especially if cheaper. The room just needed a face lift.

I was planning to do work the evening I arrived for my two night stay as well the middle of the second day. The wifi hardly worked in my room, so I was unable to work. They wouldn't move me to another room or try to fix the situation. I had to switch to another hotel to be able to do my work. Hopefully, they will approve a refund, but I don't have confidence that they will.

The pool area. Cottage we had looked needed work . Steps going in the first step was to high 12 inches or more , the door frame was old and you could see light around the door . I walked the dog behind the cottage I saw old picnic tables in back of other cottage that were broken and rotten . Doesn't look like the owner is putting money back in the business or cares what is happening to the place.

Only complaint was the refrigerator froze everything, but other than that we loved it and would stay there again. Bonus was my son and his family booked there also - had a cottage.

it was clean. It was a great location. I've stayed there before and it was very pleasant. the pool and location

Clean and great staff Nothing everything was great

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The property was OK not too noisy even for family, friendly location. The cottage was extremely extremely small and had an odor of mildew. My guess would be probably came from the AC unit.

A good layout in the cottages if you need two bedrooms. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Property is a bit dated, but things function. Kitchen has basic but limited supplies (for example, only had two spoons as some from the set appear to have gone missing and not been replaced). Cottages not cleaned during stay. You can get new towels, but it took a couple of tries. Air conditioners work, but are loud. Odd that one was required to take trash down next to the front desk building at check out instead of having cleaning staff empty it as happens at most properties. Coffee supplies provided did not match the coffee machine the cottage had. Pros and cons.
