If the hotel is full, you risk the toilets backing up and flooding your room. Like mine did. Had to wait 4 hrs for a room to become empty and cleaned. Owner thinks points would satisfy you, instead of comping a night. For a room that flooded almost 1 inch and a qaurter of water. Best Western used to be a a good hotel...I won't be using any Best Westerns any longer. They just aren’t as good as they once were. Also, Best Western Cheifton has 3 floors, no elevator. Keep that in mind. In fact just try a different motel chain then The Best Western. Shout out to Heidi for going above and beyond for me being displaced on a Saturday morning...

Breakfast hours only go to 9am - not posted anywhere. Only 2 lounge chairs by the pool - pool towels are the size of a hand towel.

The lack of maintenance is very evident with the Chieftan. We have enjoyed staying here over the years but not for the past 10 years. Very disappointed that this property is being neglected.
-
My only complaints were the lack of an ice machine on the 1st floor and the patio sliding door was sticky and hard to open and close.

This hotel was very dirty inside and out. Our floors in our room were filthy dirty. When walking with bare feet, they were black. I wiped the floor with a towel and it was black. We complained at the front desk and brought our towel with us. Gavin told us he would have the room floors cleaned but it took 2 days for them to clean them and they never did clean room 147. They were cleaner than before but still not clean in room 148. We had to wear our sandals so our feet weren't black. I couldn't imagine climbing into bed with feet like that!!! They never came into room 147 at all to empty trash or anything. Our gate from our room was broken...there's bugs & cobwebs all around the lights leading to pool. This whole hotel is old and in need of total renovation. I would like to compliment Hope in the breakfast area. She was awesome and was there when we were complaining and saw how dirty our floors were. We had to stay here for 4 nights which was terrible. When we first arrived and found out how crappy this hotel was we tried to find another hotel but nothing was available. So we would stay out all day and Into the Night because we didn't want to go back to the hotel room, that's how bad it was. I would think they should have offered some sort of compensation, but they didn't. We have stayed in many Best Westerns and this really ruined our trust in them.

Liked the room but not the hair left over in the shower from the last residence there. Floor was also very dirty on my friends socks. Staff came and checked if we were in the room weird. That’s the room I asked if there was a bottom floor and there was thankfully. I recently hurt my knee and can’t do stairs and it made it much easier for me & my service dog. Love the Chiefton Inn

Pool, clean, good breakfast, and staff were great

The room itself was comfortable. I had just bought a new bathing suit, a rather expensive one, and when I went in the hot tub, the tub fully bleached my bottoms - they were a nice royal blue and now the bottoms are purple. The chemicals were way off and this should not happen! I am very upset about it as I quite liked that suit. I talked to the concierge and she took my info down, and said the owner would reach out but it’s been a week and I haven’t heard anything. I will likely write a review to bring this to light as I don’t want others to have the same experience :(

Nowhere when booked did it say it was under renovation....there was stomping on the floor above us and absolutely no hot water in the shower.

Hotel was a pretty standard Best Western, but a bit old and dated (they are in the process of doing renovations and had signs up apologizing for any mess). The room was nice and big. There was no elevator or the front desk said there wasn't one anyway (not an issue for us but it could impact other people reading the review so just mentioning it...it just seemed odd as there were luggage racks on the 2nd floor...maybe to transport items along the floor? It is quite a long hallway/building). When we arrived the bathroom in the lobby was pretty unclean - which seemed odd and made us a bit concerned for the cleanliness we'd find in our room - but, thankfully the room was indeed clean. We never could figure out how to open the sliding door in our room (yes, we followed all the instructions and checked with the front desk to make sure we had all the locks and such off). The breakfast was pretty terrible but I feel that's sort of the standard in most hotels these days. No coffee on the 2nd day for long enough that we just gave up and left. Minor inconveniences that really didn't impact the overall stay.

The room was clean and the staff was very helpful

Didn’t know there was no elevator, but it was nice enough for the price. Friendly staff,

Room phone did not work. Room table lamp did not work. Room coffee machine did not work. Breakfast juice machine did not work. Breakfast yogurt machine did not work. Sausage was cold. Definitely health code violation. Front desk associates would not answer my multiple phone calls from my cell phone since Room phone would not work

I thought it was a good price for what we got. I was not expecting breakfast to be included, and it was quite good. Pool may not be fancy, but it was clean and well maintained.

They are remodeling and everything looks really really nice !

The biggest issue was the train noise. Trains passed by multiple times throughout the night, even well after midnight. It wasn’t just the noise—the entire building and floor shook each time, making it nearly impossible to sleep. The complimentary breakfast also smelled unpleasant, so I couldn’t enjoy it. The building is very outdated, with old popcorn ceilings, and the interior feels dark and uninviting. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet or comfortable place to stay.
